A Palestinian Perspective: From Gaza

Ahmad Abu Safieh, an engineering graduate of the Islamic University
of Gaza, will share his story of why and how he made the difficult decision to leave Gaza and seek asylum in the U.S. Ahmad currently works in Boulder and is married to Riham Abu Haiba, a fellow Gazan who started her own company called Yadaiha (Her Hands in Arabic.)

The first Sunday in November is the day we remember the members
and friends of our church who have died since the last All Saints Sunday. We say their names in worship while we toll bells and pray. As you come forward for communion, you will be invited to float white rose petals, symbols of your beloved who have died, in the water of the baptismal font. Together we give thanks to God for everlasting life and for the love which never dies.
