CSA Week 20

It's hard to believe this is the last week of the CSA season. We hope you've enjoyed your share this year, and we hope you're eager for next season to begin. We sure are! Please watch for our annual survey, and when it lands in your in-box, take a minute to make suggestions for improvement.

If your box includes broccoli this week, you might try this broccoli/potato soup , which uses the broccoli stems to make a hearty base. If you get cauliflower, you might try cauliflower steaks with marinara. Our subscription website, Cook With What You Have , offers dozens of suggestions for collards and chard.

And don't forget last week's recipe for neck-pumpkin pie .

Thanks for a great season!

Fall Roosteraunt schedule: During the month of October, the Roosteraunt is open daily from 11:00 to 3:00.

No more boxes! For the last two weeks of the season, shares will be packed in plastic bags. Please return all your empty bins to the farm so we can get them ready to fill next year. Thanks!

Week 20 Shares Include: broccoli or cauliflower, winter squash, chard, collards, green beans, apples, peppers, potatoes.

One-time Seasonal Bonus: Each share includes 1 jack-o-lantern pumpkin and 1 neck pumpkin which you may pick any time between now and October 31, while supplies last. Please sign out your seasonal bonus on the CSA check-out sheet. Thanks
