Ripe Berries!
Our strawberries are loving this weather. The fields will probably be open from 9:00 to 5:00 every day this week except Saturday and Sunday, when they will probably close at noon. I underline the word probably because supplies depend on weather and the number of pickers in the fields each day. It's best to call or check our website before you come. We will probably have more berries available on weekdays than on weekends.
Wagons will run every hour on the hour, from 9:15 until 5:00. U-pick price: $2.49 per pound.

Member Bonuses:
1 pint of strawberries
1 bundle of asparagus
Note that bonuses run from Tuesday through the following Monday each week.

Also available in the market:
watermelon
cantaloupe
tomatoes
cucumbers
sweet corn

Dirt Farm Brewing on Tap

After many months of careful preparation, Dirt Farm Brewing will celebrate its grand opening on July 10. In advance of that exciting event, Bruce and Janell have invited CSA members to come up the hill and kick the tires on this new venture, which will soon be one of Loudoun County's most popular farm breweries. This Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00, Dirt Farm Brewing will offer a complimentary tasting of their fine craft beers.

Strawberry Celebration Continues
May 30 & 31

Join us for Loudoun County's longest-running celebration of the strawberry. Games, contests, wagon rides, live music -- and strawberries! U-pick fields will be open from 9:00 to 11:00.

Light and Fresh

" This is the best way to eat fresh asparagus. This is quite a tasty recipe. Do not use the bottled nutmeg as it takes on that distinct 'dessert like' flavor we all know pumpkin pie to have. Nutmeg is a seriously savory spice when used in this fashion. Do it right the first time and every time and you'll enjoy it always."

"Mind blowing. Love the playground in the shade of the woods. Love the fresh produce. Love the animals. Love the live music. Clean bathrooms and friendly people."
