Parking Lot Expansion

Recent visitors to ASCCA will have noticed construction near our education building and a trail closure. Work has begun to expand our upper parking lot. This is to accommodate an increase in visitors and improve safety.

When this project is completed, all of ASCCA's hiking trails will be accessible via the new parking lot. An automatic gate for nighttime closure will be installed along with a pay machine for daily parking fees. All annual pass holders will continue to showcase their passes on their vehicle dashboards.

2027 Annual Parking Passes

We'd like to remind visitors that 2027 Annual Parking Passes will be on sale September 1, with an early-bird rate of $100/pass until December 15.

2027 Passes are valid September 1 2026 until December 31 2027.

Visitors with a pass expiring 2026 or earlier will have the opportunity to renew their pass during this period.

Photo Call for ASCCA Calendar

We will be printing a 2027 ASCCA Calendar, and are asking volunteers and visitors to send high-resolution photos taken at ASCCA for a chance to be featured.

Submissions are open to all ages, however we ask for pictures taken in the area of either wildlife, plants or scenery and sent to us in a format suitable for printing (grainy or low-res photos may be rejected).

Please submit your photography via email no later than Sept 30 to be considered.

Sept 26 Fall Wellness Retreat

Chris and Kim with the Calgary Forest Bathing Collective will be hosting a Fall Wellness Retreat on Saturday, Sept 26 from 12:30 - 5:00 pm. Early bird pricing from now until Sept 12*.

Register now to join in welcoming fall in the scenic beauty of nature, restoring your energy and reconnecting with yourself.

*volunteers are entitled to a discount and should contact us if interested in attending.

August 27 RASC Eclipse Night

Join us on Thursday, August 27 from 8:00 - 11:00 pm with RASC (Royal Astronomical Society of Canada) Calgary Centre to learn about and view the partial lunar eclipse, which will cover approximately 96% of the moon’s surface.

The event will feature a presentation from RASC Calgary's Steve Donaldson.

Email to RSVP. Registration by donation at event. $5/person. $20/family.
