A Message from our CEO, Ryan Caswell

"As I wrap up my first month at the ASCCA, I want to say how grateful I am to be here. The abundance of wildlife and fall landscape have made this an exciting time to join.

Over the past few weeks, I've enjoyed meeting our volunteers and witnessing their dedication and passion to the organization. I deeply appreciate the time and energy they invest in supporting our mission.

I’m excited to collaborate with the ASCCA team, dedicated volunteers, and community partners. I’m eager to bring forward new initiatives and ideas that will help drive the organization forward."

Ryan can be reached at (403) 931-4070 and rcaswell@crossconservation.org

Beaver Dam Analogue Project

For several years, human-made structures called beaver dam analogues (BDAs) have been used at the ASCCA to mimic natural damns to improve water retention and help to restore wetland habitat.

This year, we are working to install more BDAs in the Pine Creek watershed in partnership with Cows and Fish.

Attend a webinar on October 4 to learn about stream restoration.

Join us on October 10 /11 at the ASCCA to learn about and construct BDAs.

Volunteer Information Hike

Have you been interested in volunteering at the ASCCA? Want to learn more about our work and how you can be involved? On October 26th from 10:00 to 12:00, join us for a short presentation and guided hike (length depending on weather).

Sustaining Our Legacy: Belvedere House Renovations

We're excited to launch a new fundraising campaign that will support much-needed renovations to our education centre, Belvedere House.
