Storm Newsletter for October 11, 2021
Greetings!
If you were at the race yesterday you were able to experience one of the biggest, most competitive meets we have done! All the athletes were amazing, even Coach Jimmie raced in the 5K with Sean Kuck, both of them did amazing!
As you may have noticed our top athletes were wearing a Valley United Striders uniform for this race! This is our post season National Team, that will be going to our all star team after our season is over. We will be inviting the top 8-16 athletes in the VYC to compete in on this team when our season is over. You can check the cross country page to see the rankings to see where your child is so far. There will be at least 2 travel meets to compete on the all star team after our final October 30th meet. We will be competing in Las Vegas on Nov. 6th and then in Charlotte North Carolina on December 4th. this will have a separate team fee, uniform cost, and an AAU card, I will send out more information in a few weeks about how to be a part of the team, but if you are interested please let Coach Elaine know.

Scholastic Forms Due Oct 14th
It is very important for athletes to strive not only for their best in sports but at school. Storm will award a medal for all athletes who achieve a B+ or better while competing with us!
Scholastic forms for athletes with a combined grade point average of 3.5(B+) and 4.0 (A) are due by Oct. 14th. We have to order the medals so please send in a progress report, or have their teachers fill out the form, All students should send in their 5 week progress report or report card if they have them.

Ribbons - for all races are handed out at practice on most days This week they will be ready on Monday, please pick them up! The placing will use our conference teams only, not over all places, so they will have better places on them.
