Storm Newsletter for September 13, 2021
Wow what a fun meet we had on Saturday! It was so exciting to have so many teams and athletes to race. Athletes can pick up their place ribbon at practice tonight! Please make sure you thank the coaches for all they do!!

This week we will be hosting our Conference Invitational at Central Park, and there will be even more teams. We will also be giving the top 8 in each race a medal and the next 42 ribbons. We will be scoring the teams and the top 3 teams will receive a plaque! For this meet the Sub-Gremlins girls and boys will race together first, at 8:30. All other age groups will race by gender, please see the flyer on our cross country page or on or the race schedule below!

We need extra help for this meet as we have to set up the course and finish line area. We also will need to have finish line workers. Please see below and sign up at practice. This week I need some one with a truck or large SUV to get the tents at practice on Thursday and bring them to the meet at 7:00 am at the park!

Weekly Schedule :
Monday - 6:00 - 7:15 West Creek Park,
Tuesday - 6:00- 7:15 College of the Canyons
Thursday - 6:00 - 7:15 Central Park
Saturdays- 7:00 - 11:00 am Central Park Race

Safety Concerns- Please continue to practice safety procedures, wash hands, keep appropriate distance, and If your child or anyone in your house hold is sick Stay home, Please be sure to inform us if your child or any member in your home test positive for Covid -19.

Our team will not need to do a walk through on Saturday Morning
The first race will begin at 08:30 a.m. Races will start approximately every 15-25 minutes and will overlap. 13/14 and 15-18 will race at the same time and will run the 4K course.

8:45 am GREMLIN GIRLS – 7/8 (Born in 2013 or 2014) 2K
9:00 am GREMLIN BOYS – 7/8 (Born in 2013 or later) 2K
9:15 am BANTAM GIRLS - 9/10 (Born 2011 or 2012) 3K
9:30 am BANTAM BOYS – 9/10 (Born 2011 or 2012) 3K
9:45 am MIDGET GIRLS – 11/12 (Born 2009 or 2010) 3K
10:00 am MIDGET BOYS – 11/12 (Born 2009 or 2010) 3K
10:15 GIRLS – 13/14 & 15-18 (Born 2003 - 2008) 4K (2 AGE GROUPS)
10:40 BOYS – 13/14 & 1518 (Born 2003 to 2008) 4K (2 AGE GROUPS)
Volunteers needed

Course Set up - 6:30 am 4 people
Tent set up -bring tents and set up 7:00 am -2 people
Tag table 7:00 - help hand out athletes tags - 2 people
Finish Line - Finish of each meet 4 people
Clean up - 4 people, break down the course and load trucks

Thanks to the Calderon Family for bringing our tents to the meet last week. They will be out of town after this meet so I need help getting them to the meet at Central Park on September 18th. If you can help please let me know asap!!

We are in need of "Turtles" to follow all races. As you saw there are a lot of new slower runners that need help near the end of each race and next week we will run most age groups in separate girls and boys races. We also need rabbits to lead the races with either running or bikes

Please allow extra time to park and arrive early as there will be a lot more teams at our Valley United Invitational meet!

Our online store, is up on the website but does not have all items on it yet, but you can purchase and pick up at practice on Thursday!
