Small Groups Starting Back!

Our fall small groups will be starting up on the week of September 13 and will continue through the month of December. Our small groups play a vital role in providing deeper opportunities to connect with other members and regular attenders- to pray with one another, and to go deeper into God‘s word together, and to support an encourage one another as we try to apply God‘s word in our lives. 

If you are not currently connected to a Small Group, please reach out to Tom. He will work with you to connect you with the right group.

This semester, we are opening up a new group, which will be led by Scott at his home, specifically for young professionals (to include grad students). This group will meet Thursday Nights from 6:00-8:00pm, beginning September 17th. If you are interested in this group, you can contact Scott directly or inquire through Tom.

High School Book Study, Wednesday, Sept 2nd 

All 9th-12th graders are invited to meet at Dos Amigos at 7 PM this Wednesday to kick off the start of the new high school book study! Please RSVP to Sarah Hilton by tonight so she knows to expect you. She will bring copies of the book  10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) About Christianity. to pass out to students who attend with the plan to discuss chapter 1 at the next meeting on Sept 16th. If your student can't make the first meeting but is interested in attending in the future, please also let Sarah know! 

Fall Cookout - September 26th 4-8pm

Join us at Valle Crucis for our Annual Fall Cookout!

We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 26th, as we kick off the beginning of the fall season with our annual Fall Festival! Come enjoy good food, fellowship, and games at the beautiful Valle Crucis Community Park (Herrick Pavilion). Crosspoint will provide the main dish, and we ask that you sign up to bring a side or dessert to share. Hope to see you there!

Men’s Game Night at Crosspoint

The men of Crosspoint are invited to participate in a game night at Crosspoint on Sep 12, 6-9pm. Pizza and soda will be provided but feel free to bring additional beverages or snacks. You are also invited to bring one or more games you would like to play or you can just come ready to play! Please RSVP to Christian Wallen (via text @ 615-727-4210 or Signal) so we get enough pizza.

Membership and Sacraments Class for Parents

• Date(s): Sunday, Sept 27th (with an overflow date of Sunday, Oct 4th)
• Time: 10:45-11:45 (during second service)
• Location: Crosspoint Church
• Maximum of 12 attendees

Crosspoint is a church whose membership represents diverse denominational backgrounds and varying degrees of doctrinal subscription. In light of this, we can appreciate the challenge that some parents and families may face in navigating issues of membership and sacraments (Baptism and Communion) for their children and youth here at Crosspoint. We are offering this optional class for parents as a way of providing clarity on our denomination’s (PCA) position on membership and sacraments. This interactive class will also aim to clarify how our theological convictions are expressed specifically in the Gospel centered and grace filled culture that we hope to foster at Crosspoint. Mens Bible Study Resuming

Men's Fall Study. Starting Tuesday, Sept 22nd, we will be meeting to discuss the book: The Men We Need: God's Purpose for the Manly Man, the Avid Indoorsman, or Any Man Willing to Show Up. We will be meeting in Scott's office from 6:30-8pm every other Tuesday night until Dec 15th.

Tom Henry and AJ Britton will be leading the study, so feel free to reach out to either of them for more information. A handful of copies of this book are on the book table in the back if you wish to go ahead and get your copy.

Women's Bible Studies Resuming

We are excited to start up Women's bible studies again soon, and have 2 different times available for women to join a bible study group. Both groups will be studying the book of Colossians this Fall. 

The Thursday morning group will start up on September 10th, and will meet weekly at 8:30-10:30 a.m. here at Crosspoint Church. Childcare will be provided. This group will be using a book from the Flourish series to study Colossians. The Tuesday evening group will start up on September 22nd, and will meet at the same time as the men's group, from 6:30-8:30 pm every other week. Childcare will also be provided for this group, and they will be using the Meet Me in the Bible series to study Colossians. Link to purchase book here. Volunteer Interest Recruiting

Crosspoint is always seeking ways for members and regular attenders to get involved in helping serve the church! Currently, we are in need of volunteers for all avenues of ministry (Children's ministry, Sunday Hospitality, and Worship).

On September 13th & 20th, we will have tables set up between services for all avenues of serving at Crosspoint. Please stop by to make a connection and figure out which area of ministry would be the best fit for you!
