This collection of black and white paintings represents crossroads that impact our life.  We make decisions that open paths that we hope are the best results from our choices.  Meditating on the principles of YING/YANG, I painted these works to represent the daily struggle of living to the fullest potential while trying to maintain balanced relationships with people (lovers, family, friends) and with yourself.

Shifts in ideas, plans, goals, and self-care are in constant motion in our minds and I wanted to express those sudden changes in thoughts with the fluid brush stoke that doesn’t seem to have direction or flow.

These paintings also represent the constant healing represented by the texture in the work - scab, scars, blisters as evidence of taking risks and learning from those mistakes.
