Introducing Our New Moderator

Mano Nguyen is Moderator of the Coordinating Council, 2024. He feels deep gratitude for the tireless efforts of this church community and the dedicated members of our Council. He holds much respect for the commitment and dedication that drives our collective efforts. Mano's vision for his year as Moderator is rooted in a genuine desire to serve and lead effectively. He is committed to fostering a more balanced and patient approach in his life, a testament, he says, to his personal growth and evolving leadership philosophy.

Mano brings many invaluable gifts to our community. With a master's degree in business administration he has garnered substantial experience in running his small business, overseeing more than 20 employees on a daily basis as the General Manager of Kapiolani Residence. Mano was featured in this Sept. 2023 “Building Management Hawaii” article; you can read more about his background and career path in the property management field.

Mano's background as a condo association manager gives him a strong familiarity with parliamentary procedures and non-profit boards. This experience equips him to adeptly navigate our church's bylaws, as well as understand and fulfill the expectations placed on member roles and responsibilities. His tech-savviness further enhances his capabilities.

Mano brings not only expertise but also a genuine dedication to nurturing a vibrant church community as he works to promote volunteerism and service. Your contributions, both big and small, play a vital role in shaping our shared journey. Mano, we welcome you as our Moderator and extend our fullest support. We think you have a wonderful council to work with during 2024.

Come and celebrate the life of Amy Hiratzka Mizuno on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a 10:30 AM service (in-person only). Amy had reached the amazing age of 102 in January!
