Dear Parents and Constituents of Crossroads School,
On behalf of the Crossroads School Board of Directors, Leadership Team, Faculty, and Staff, I send all of you our best thoughts and blessings during this uncertain time in our global and local communities. We want you to know that Crossroads School continues to put the needs of our students and families first while we navigate the new world of distance/remote learning.
As we have recently learned, Governor Greg Abbott has ordered all Texas schools to stay closed until May 4th. Crossroads will of course comply with this order and will continue to educate our students via distance learning until such time this order is lifted or expires.
After many hours of brainstorming, peer consultation, and team deliberation we have devised the most efficient and manageable model for the new social distance learning plan at Crossroads School. This plan requires a restructuring of faculty responsibilities and assigned subjects for instruction. These adjustments have been made. This plan also includes the outline of a suggested daily scheduling structure to help parents and students stay on task and reduce stress. Crossroads Principal, Mr. Justin, will be rolling out the schedules via email to parents this weekend for an anticipated start date of Monday, April 6
We want to assure you that your child is receiving the best education Crossroads can provide and we are now laser-focused on how to maximize efficiency and efficacy using our new model. Additionally, we do have a seamless transition plan in place should we be allowed to resume regular school days on campus at some point this year.
Please stay safe and healthy and don't hesitate to contact any member of the Leadership Team or Faculty with your questions, comments or concerns.
