Ministry Team News
Starting Sunday, May 12 we are hosting four families (11 people) from Family Promise. We are still in need of some meals and overnight hosts. Help us show our guests radical hospitality by signing up today or contacting Suzy Frazier to get connected with this amazing outreach ministry to the homeless in Ozaukee County.

The home the Presbyterian Coalition will be building this year is at 1912 N. 30th Street. Workers are needed to help frame the house, building walls, and installing windows and siding. We also need help to prepare lunch for the group. Work days are every Saturday in June. Anyone over 16 years of age can help, but you must be 18 to operate power tools. The 2019 summer worship schedule runs from Confirmation Sunday on May 19 through Fall Festival on September 8. It features a single worship service at 9:30 a.m. with childcare and Children’s Worship.

Festival Choir and Orchestra on June 2
Youth and adults of all abilities are needed to sing and play in the Festival Choir and Orchestra on Communion Sunday, June 2. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. May 23 for the choir and May 30 for all musicians, with dress rehearsal June 1 at 9:00 a.m. Please contact Todd O’Connor by May 23 for instrumental music.

Music and Worship Ministries Potluck
The O’Connors are hosting a Memorial Day cookout for anyone who has participated on any music or worship ministry team over the past year (or so)! Monday, May 27, N87W6261 Willowbrooke Drive, Cedarburg, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Bring a dessert or side dish. Drinks provided. RSVP to Todd O’Connor.
Successful Mulch Sale
The youth pulled together to accomplish these staggering numbers:
  • 155 yards of mulch spread
  • 235 yards delivered to 29 different households
  • 124,000 lbs of mulch lifted and spread
  • $7,021 raised to help with summer youth trips!

For parents and students attending The Great Escape. May 22 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. We will review procedures, answer questions, and complete forms. The final payment is due at this meeting.

For students who have completed grades 5 and 6. We will be meeting at a different park each day exploring new games, messy and impactful lessons, and memories that will keep the kids smiling. June 17–21. Register online .

Here’s your chance to give back to the Crossroads community! Serve on the work crew for either VBS (ages 3–grade 4) or VBX (grades 5–6) where you will lead games, sing songs, and have fun hanging out with kids! June 17–21. Register online .

Crossroads is partnering with City on a Hill in Milwaukee, June 25-30. For students currently in grades 6-8. We will be serving meals, running a day camp, and participating in a poverty simulation. $200. Register online . Scholarships available. Contact: Dave Carpenter .

High School Mission Trip: Caravan Wyoming
For students currently in grade 8 through college. July 19-28. We are partnering with Foundations for Nations Ministries at the Wind River Indian Reservation. Cost is $550. There will be a brief congregational meeting on Sunday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. for the purpose of electing new Elders and Deacons.
Buildings & Grounds

Feeling Generous?
There are so many ways to help make VBS a faith-forming week for more than 125 kids from our church and community. One way is to donate supplies ( click here for a list.) Another way is to donate to the many costs of providing a top-notch experience. Please donate online, in the VBS envelopes in the pews or office, or text "CPC VBS" followed by your donation amount to 73256. Example "CPC VBS 20" to text a $20 donation.
