Crosstown Connection: October 9 - 31

It's not too late!

You are invited to serve! Teams will be formed & sent out of from Crosstown! You can expect to rake, wash windows, pick up trash - or other various tasks. Our goal is to bless others & serve together!

A Note from Pastor Paul

I have now met about 50 of you through our Pie with Pastor gatherings. Two themes have repeatedly stood out from your sharing. (1) People personally caring is why many of you are at Crosstown as your home church. Maybe that is our unique slingshot as a church - personal care. (2) Growth in your faith has come about through trials, difficulties - as one person said “it was really hard…really hard”.

Keep praying we make progress on our Interim Priorities (click on the botton below if you did not get the handout last Sunday).

This Sunday we continue looking at Picture Images of the Church. On October 12 Pastor Polly will be preaching as we look at the picture of Christians as a fragrance of Christ.

News from the Leadership Team

The Leadership Team is encouraged and delighted in this early stage of the interim period. In our first month we held four Pie with Pastors that have had excellent attendance and community experiences together and we have established and presented the Interim Priorities for the ministry season ahead.

At the September meeting the Leadership Team discussed and confirmed a small team to assess the building for safety scenarios. The team is working together to determine protocols in the event of various situations (fire, weather, intruder, etc.). If you are interested in serving on the safety team, please speak with Heather Polhemus or Bob Weides. As we move into October, the Finance Ministry Team is preparing for budget season at Crosstown and will be sharing that with the Leadership Team and the Ministry Teams.

Let's stay connected! If you have feedback or concerns to share with the Leadership Team, please reach out via our email addresses (listed at the bottom of the newsletter), phone number (included in the directory), or on a Sunday/Wednesday.
