Crosstown Connection: November 6 - 19

This past Sunday, we spent time in prayer together as a church. One of our youth, Leo Inestroza, prepared a written prayer. I want to share it so we can all add our “amen” to what Leo wrote.

Dear God - We will never be able to show how much we love and appreciate you for all the things you’ve done for us. I pray for those in our neighborhood who don’t know Jesus and are struggling in life. I know that you have a plan for them and that you will provide a way for them. I also pray that you will help our Crosstown family go above and beyond to support and love our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please open our hands and our hearts so we may receive your goodness. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

You are invited to continue in these prayer movements.

  1. Thanking God for what He has done and what He is doing these days.
  2. Praying for ministry at Crosstown - ministry of children, youth and adults.
  3. Praying for the needs of those in our neighborhood and surrounding community. Pray for Crosstown’s caring outreach.
  4. Praying for those at Crosstown - needs of those at Crosstown, Crosstown’s future, and that we would be a group of believers loving and serving Jesus.

A Note from Pastor Paul

Dear Crosstown friends,

I have been with you as interim pastor for 2 months now. You have made it easy for me to enter into the church life. I am enjoying getting to know many of you and learning more about what makes Crosstown unique. So many examples of personal care & practical love in action! That may be our unique trait among churches.

We are making progress on our Key Interim Priorities:

Communication - relational (knowing one another) and informational

Outreach - twice a month, people from the community are loved, valued and given abundant food supplies through our food distribution (2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month); children & youth are inviting friends to Wednesday nights.

Congregational development - we brought the Ministry Teams together in September & we are underway looking at how we can maximize ministry impact with limited people power. And we are praying together, as we did during last Sunday’s service.

God is faithful, good things are happening, on we go…together,

Pastor Paul Murphy

A Word from Leadership Team

Greetings Crosstown,

If you attended the Congregational Meeting on Sunday, October 26, you noted that with our refreshed schedule we were unable to respond to all the questions that were raised regarding the Finance Update. Our Finance Officer, Bill Weller, assembled the questions and additional responses in the document linked below.

If you have additional questions about the presentation or the answers in this document please email the office at Office@CrosstownCovenant.Org and they will be forwarded to the Leadership Team for review and response. Sometimes it can feel difficult to ask challenging questions, but we appreciate the discussion and welcome the conversation.
