Congregational Meeting This Sunday In Person!

Our October congregational meeting will happen in person only in the Commons. We will not be offering a Zoom option so please plan to join us on the property after worship. The agenda for the meeting is linked here.

We would love to have a group of women attend Begin Conference together. This is a local in-person conference on Oct 30th. Life & Mission Commission has reserved a 10-person row which will allow us to bond, grow, and experience Jesus together in a different way. Wednesday Bible Study

It was fun to have Dwight Ekholm in the house for worship last weekend. If you would like to connect a little more with him, you can. Dwight will be leading the next two Wednesday AM Bible studies on Zoom.

Cakes & Calls

The Community Caring Commission is looking to fill two needs.

We need some willing hands to bake a cake for funerals. When there is a funeral at Crosstown we provide cake and coffee. Would you be willing to be on a call list to make a 9x13 sheet cake?
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to call or visit members in need. We would like to return to a more regular visitation schedule. This ministry was obviously disrupted during the pandemic, but it is time to move forward. We also need elves to help deliver Christmas gifts.

Searching for a New Director of Worship Arts

As we pray and wait (sometimes patiently, and sometimes not), this week, let's be reading Psalm 31 ~ A Psalm of David of Complaint and of Praise.

It's helpful to remember that our ways are not God's ways, and most of the time our timing is not His either. Keep faithful, Crosstown Congregation, as we continue our commitment to not lose hope and PRAY.

From Psalm 31

Verse 7: I will rejoice and be glad in Your faithfulness, because You have seen my misery.

Verse 9: Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am in distress.

Verse 14: But as for me, I trust in You, LORD, I say, "You are my God."

Verse 16: Make Your face shine upon Your servant, save me in Your faithfulness.

Verse 19: How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have performed for those who take refuge in You.

Verse 23: Love the LORD, all His godly ones! The LORD watches over the faithful ....

Verse 24: Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD.
