Good Friday- April 2
Good Friday this year will follow a Tenebrae service template. Tenebrae is the Latin word for “darkness” and is a service that emphasizes the extinguishing of light. This service will be primarily contemplative/reflective in nature and will consist of songs, readings, and a short homily from Pastor John.
You may attend in person or by live stream at 7:00pm.
Palm Sunday with Singing!
This Sunday in-person worshipers will be able to sing in worship! Just in time to celebrate Easter.
Sing to the LORD, praise his name
Proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols
but the LORD made the heavens.
Psalm 96:3-5
Masks will continue to be required, or join us on the live stream. Don't forget your palm from your Lent bag, however we will have extra at church.

The Youth Commission plans and carries out ministry to youth in grades 6-12 and is privileged to disciple and build relationships with students from both Crosstown and outside of the congregation. We are always looking for prayer support for our youth as well as for the leaders of both Youth Group and TreeHouse ministries. If you have a heart for relational ministry with youth or would like to get to know students better, we'd be happy to talk to you about other ways you can support Youth Commission in its ministry!

Partnering with NENA
Throughout Covid and city budget cuts the priorities of the Nokomis East Neighborhood Association have been shifting. One of their main focuses is meeting food insecurities, especially in the Bossen neighborhood. With the 2020 budget cuts from the city it has become necessary for NENA to close their offices. In April Crosstown will be welcoming NENA to utilize our building for their food mission. Please make sure to say hello to Becky and Karla. How can you help the Nokomis neighborhood?
Food Trunk Rally- April 17
Support NENA at the Food Trunk Rally fundraiser for dinner in the Lake Nokomis Lutheran parking lot. Learn more here on their facebook event.
Bossen Food Distribution Volunteers
During the winter, neighbors in need have needed to make an appointment in the office to pick up food. NENA is hopeful to return to in-person Bossen distribution in April which serves more people. Read more here about helping.
