Crosstown Retreat 2023

@ Covenant Pines

What a joy to enjoy time together at Covenant Pines on the weekend of September 15-17! Highlights included: multi-generational relationships, working together @ the “Big Swing,” Blacklight Dodgeball, + worship times with Aaron & team as well as teaching from Pastors Polly and John. There were 48 Crosstown friends in attendance.

Fall Message Series

On Sunday, October 1 we’ll move into a fresh sermon series: “Rooted in Christ.” At Crosstown, we’ve identified those who have a profound faith friendship with Jesus as “spiritual sequoias.” In this journey, we’ll focus on the pathway these individuals pursued. What does it take to establish roots that “go deep” with Jesus? How can I grow forward in growing a lifelong posture of faithfulness? We’ll launch our expedition in Psalm 1.

Pancake Brinner! Kids and their families are invited to an EPIC PANCAKE DINNER, with all the toppings you can imagine! Saturday, October 14 will not only be a delicious dinner, but time for a family devotion and some games! Hot pancakes and toppings bar opens at 5pm!

Kids Too! Is back in full swing, searching up some ‘how-to’ guides! Asking Jesus about the basics of being his followers.

Kids Too! Invites kids ages 4 years through 5th grade to games, snacks, Bible teaching and small group time. We will meet in the Crosstown Kids Center!

Benevolent Fund Supports Neighbors in Need

Crosstown’s Benevolent Fund has made a $1,000 gift to the “Renter Support Fund” in our neighborhood of Minneapolis. This fund is the work of our friends in NENA (Nokomis East Neighborhood Association). It provides direct cash assistance to those who are struggling with making their rent payments. This is one way that Crosstown is seeking to “pastor the community.” Further information is available: https://www.nokomiseast.org/renter-support-fund

Power of Prayer Group!

One way to respond to Crosstown’s fresh prayer initiative is by participating in POP (Power of Prayer)! This group gathers on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday mornings/month from 9 AM -10 AM on

Youth Ministry continues with our series on prayer! What is it? How do we do it? Why do we do it? We invite students 6th - 12th grade to join us in the gym at 6:30 p.m. for community time together before we head down to the Youth Commons for teaching time and small groups.
