"Do You Love Me?" is the title of our upcoming two-week message series. The consistent call of life in Jesus Christ is that our discipleship can grow stale. This series is a call from the Holy Spirit to move out of our stupor and look ahead to the robust life we're called to in Jesus Christ.

If you are staying in Minneapolis, what will Sunday worship look like? Sunday's worship will be on the live stream! This means that worship will be offered at CPBC and on YouTube but not at the Crosstown building.

Update on the Sanctuary Renovation Project
|
|
As of August 27th the Sanctuary Renovation Project (SRP) fund balance is $8,925.21, which is about 22% of our capital campaign goal of $40,000.
Thanks to those who have given one-time donations and those who continue to support the project with monthly contributions. If you would like to see us meet this goal soon, please consider a one-time or a monthly contribution to the SRP. Contributions can be made by check or online with SRP in the memo.
When will construction start? We don't have an exact date yet, but possibly by the end of the month.

Cross One Project Off The List!
The new boiler is installed, so as winter looms we can be assured of having heat in the Sanctuary for worship! Special thank you to Jim Fischer for running point on this project. Originally the congregation approved $66,000 in expenses to replace our faulty heating system.

Thank you for Meals
It has been wonderful to have 6 families/people offer meals to Dick, Ruth and Sheryl, and even more have shown up for a visit. The Stembridge family expresses their gratitude. At this time meals are covered for a couple weeks, but contact Kathleen if you would like to be added to the list. jklindahl@comcast.net

Looking for Two More Greeters
How do we improve our welcome of guests to Crosstown on a Sunday morning? The Community Caring Commission has been wrestling with this topic for the last 3 months. This is what adaptive leadership looks like.
The commission is looking for 2 more friends who would be willing to join the ministry of greeting. Stand at the door, smile, and greet people with the love of Jesus. And especially care for those who walk in the door that you don't already know. Greeters need to be at least 10 years old, you can pick the Sundays that work for you, and we hope to be able to staff two volunteers each Sunday. Interested? Contact Kristi Johnson office@crosstowncovenant.org

We're excited to be back in the Youth Center with our 6-12 graders this fall! Our launch night will focus on fun and connection (Nerf War, anyone?). Subsequent weeks will include the addition of Biblical teaching and age-based small groups. Adult leaders will wear masks.
|
We hope kids are ready for some fun at "Kids Too!" this Fall! Our leaders are gearing up to welcome kids age 4 years old through 5th grade for games, music, Bible learning and friendship! All kids and the leaders will be masked.
|
Who is my neighbor? And how do I love them well? These are questions the adult group will dig into on Wednesday nights. Specifically, Life & Mission Commission is learning about Indigenous people, former sex slaves, and people with physical/mental disabilities. All meetings will be in person and masks are recommended.
