Planning for Easter
Celebration Weekend
This is an all-inclusive weekend of lament, worship, play, service, and outreach offered in person, virtually, and outdoors. There are ways for all members to participate as we celebrate together the resurrection of our Lord. He has Risen!

Good Friday -April 2
Egg Hunt -April 3
Easter Eve -April 3
Easter Worship -April 4
🐣 We need your help!
We have two events in need of donations and volunteers, Nokomis East Egg Hunt and Easter Eve. Students are encouraged to consider volunteering, too. Check out this form for more information and details.
What's happening Easter Weekend?
This year the pancake breakfast is on hold and the Empty Tomb Hunt has changed dates. And there is so much more for you to join and even invite a friend to come with you. Check out the Easter Flier for details.
CES Drive
Why is Crosstown collecting for CES and supporting their mission? Because they truly care for people, like one who said: “It is the highlight of my month. They are so caring and take time with me."  Read more in our blog post here.
Plan to join us April 3rd to help organize Crosstown's donations for distribution and create Easter greeting cards for CES' Meals on Wheels recipients. This is just one of the fun events planned for Easter Eve.
Egg Decorating Competition
"I am hosting an Easter Egg Decorating Competition, because I think it would be fun to see everybody’s artistic talents while celebrating Easter. That means that this isn’t just for kids!" - Elaina Johnson
Check out the flier for more details about this event and a way to even participate virtually.
Communication Myth
Thank you to the 25 people who took time to complete my last communication survey. The participants were equally split between those above 60 and below. One interesting observation is that those above 60 reported using the church app more frequently and identified many more items in the app that they utilize on a regular basis. So let's dispel the assumption that technology is only for "young people."

Since the office functions without a commission of support, taking a vacation is a challenge. Who will step in and take care the weekly duties? Or should the newsletter and office close for the week? For more information about how you can help email Kristi at
Racial Righteousness Update
Last Fall, a number of persons at Crosstown worked through Jemar Tisby's "The Color of Compromise" as we sought to advance in Jesus' call to move forward in anti-racism. Last week an interview and conversation with Mr. Tisby was featured on MN Public Radio. As an encouragement to dive into this resource, we invite you to listen to this interview with Jemar Tisby.
Activist and author Jemar Tisby on how to fight racism

Author and activist Jemar Tisby hopes that “Something is different this time,” as he wrote last summer while watching protests swell in cities across the U.S. and the world.
