Vespers
Nov 29 at 7:00pm
As we walk into the first week of Advent, we invite you to begin this sacred season with a time to ponder and reflect. 2020 has been a year littered with grief and sadness. Now is the time for us to leave all of this at Jesus' feet and move into the light and hope of Advent. Come for a time of meditation, prayer, and dedication. Join us in person or on YouTube.

Ladies Tea
Dec 12, 9-10:00am
While we are unable to drink tea together because of Covid regulations, letβs not miss an opportunity to warm our spirits! Crosstown women are invited to gather for fellowship and spiritual growth. Please join us in the sanctuary for a time of encouraging one another and meditating on Godβs WORD.

Advent Bags
Available this Sunday
We have put together an Advent bag for every member. We pray that this season will be a time of deepening spiritual growth, dependence on the Father, and of feeling God's holy, warming, and comforting light in dark days. Special thanks to our members who contributed writings to our devotional book. Pick up your bag at church or we will deliver it to your doorknob.

Living Nativity
This event is being reworked and reimagined given our new regulations. We will keep you posted as it develops.

Church is Open
Our COVID team is monitoring the information and has determined that Crosstown will continue to provide in person worship. Obviously the live stream is always an option for worshiping with us and this will always be an option even if we need to pause our in person worshipping. If there is a change to in person worship you will be notified by an email and an app push notification. When worshiping in person, please remember to maintain distance and follow your ushers' leading.

Shema Bible Project
What does the Bible mean when it says to love with all your Strength, your Me'od? Me'od actually is NOT a noun of strength but rather an adverb of very/much. Loving God with all of your muchness, all of your everything, anything, nothing held back. Love God with your Me'od.
Mark 12:28-34

Love your neighbor as yourself.
With these words from the "Jesus Creed," we are called to view others not as "those people" but as "neighbor." As Crosstown's Chair and Lead Pastor, we want to call your attention to the needs of our neighbors in Honduras. While Hurricane Eta has just arrived in Florida, it has previously made its way across Honduras. The carnage of flooding and mudslides--in a nation where 67% of people live in poverty--has been devastating. As three persons at Crosstown (Tulio Ponce, Yuli Ponce, Jovanny Inestroza) are from Honduras, we want to encourage you to offer prayer and financial support to Honduras. Jovanny's family leads a ministry known as Linaje Escogido (Milk & Honey) and we encourage you to contact him by text (773.517.9553) if you're interested in making a financial gift. Please indicate your gift to be for the town of Linaje Escogido Comayagua which is currently in greatest need.

Dwight & Sandi Ekholm are life-long global personnel with Entrust, now located in the USA, but serving in Eastern Europe. You may not know this but lifetime missionaries are the most effective, having invested in long-term relationships, cultural sensitivity, and instructing with wisdom and understanding. Pray that Dwight & Sandi can harvest all they have sown and nurtured these past 50+ years.

Belinda Kuhn answered the call to missions in 1982 and has served in over 70 countries worldwide in evangelism, worship training, and discipling the nations. When not traveling abroad she continues ministry daily as a mentor for many younger missionaries via video conferencing, teaching online, and writing. Her plan is like that of Corrie Ten Boom who planned to "die with her boots on" as she went through any door that God opened for her.
