Crosstown is Reading the New Testament in 2024 We are invited to start 2024 afresh by engaging in a journey through the New Testament. Our challenge is to read through the NT in 16 weeks–8 in the Winter & 8 in the Fall. Our top priority is to listen for God as we ask the question: “Lord Jesus, what are you seeking to say to me in all of this?” Copies of Immerse: Messiah (New Testament in the New Living Translation) are available @ Crosstown for $10. The podcast with the daily readings may be found at: https://www.immersebible.com/messiah-16-week/ There is a Grow Group meeting to discuss these readings on Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in the back of the Sanctuary.

Saturday, February 10, 1:00-3:30 all adults are invited to join for some games at Kathleen Lindahl’s home. Bring a favorite game. Some snacks provided, but you are invited to bring one to share. IF:2024 is a space for us to remember who Jesus is and why we love him. For two days, let’s rediscover the person of Jesus, who is alive and wants to take us on an adventure toward full life. Thank You from the Youth Commission!! The Youth Commission and our students were so blessed and grateful for your generous outpouring of financial support for them at our recent fundraiser to attend Unite 2024. The event raised approximately $600!! The students are very excited and eager to attend Unite July 11-19. Your support helps them be that much closer to having the finances to attend. We thank you all and ask for your continued prayer and support of our students.

Men's Grow Group led by Jim Fischer “Romans 12 provides a relational profile of an authentic disciple: someone who is surrendered to God, separate from the world's values, sober in self-assessment, serving in love and supernaturally responds to evil with good.”  Inviting men to join this 8 session Grow Group. Starting February 8, and running the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.  More info in the App or talk with Jim Fischer.

Nokomis East Food Distribution On January 24 we served 100 families – 270 total people –a total of 1,616 #’s of food. There were 25 volunteers who served a total of 69 hours.   Upcoming dates to serve are February 14 & 28 (Click on link to sign-up) Sign up to Volunteer at the Food Shelf!

On Saturday, February 3, Crosstown’s leadership will gather for a time of envisioning and strategizing as we move into 2024. Led by Jon Kramka of the Northwest Conference of the ECC, we will focus on issues of engagement (inviting new friends to participate in Jesus’ ministry) and generosity (growing a culture of giving our time, talent, and treasure).  Please pray for our Deacons, Elders and Staff as we join in this vital time together!
