Guest Speaker Sunday, April 12th

Kevin Ward is the Executive Director of IOCP, our March "Gift of Love recipient". He will be speaking during both services and will have a presentation between services.

With integrity, authenticity, excellence, discipline and a focus on building relationships, Kevin Ward has led IOCP as its Executive Director since December 2020. Calling IOCP “the place of most potential,” Kevin is guiding the organization through a multi-year strategic plan designed to get those they serve what they need when they need it in alignment with organizational mission, values and resources. By combining best practices from the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, the organization is developing a service delivery model with a renewed focus on placing the client at the center of the work.

Hospital Visitation

If you or someone you know will be hospitalized and would like a visit from a pastor, please reach out directly to the church office or one of the pastors. HIPAA confidentiality laws prohibit hospitals from sharing patient information.

The Prayer Chain

If you would like to participate in praying for our members and friends, please talk with Pastor Tom. If you would like to request prayer from our Prayer Chain, contact Brenda in the church office or talk with Pastor Tom or our Pastoral Assistant Bryce. Please indicate if you would like your prayer request to be shared with the congregation, or if it is confidential.

We DO NOT use .gmail accounts. Please DO NOT respond to them. If it seems suspicious, it is! Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.

CARS. TRAINS AND BUSES

Ruth is the young woman from Venezuela that St. Barnabas has sponsored as she migrated from there to the United States. She is recovering from her trauma of being detained and being separated from her 6 year old son. She is moving forward. She has gotten her green card which is the next step in applying for citizenship. She has a good job at a reputable day care center. Her son is in kindergarten and she is studying for her Learner’s Permit. And it would be so helpful for her have a car! Not a fancy one - just one that is safe and reliable.

Do any of you have a car that you are thinking of giving away or selling at a very small price? Or do you know of anyone who might be considering either of those options? What a wonderful gift that would be for Ruth and her son!

On behalf of the mentoring group that has worked to help Ruth become a productive and happy citizen here, we hope you will consider this request. Thank you.

Margaret Wold

P.S. We are not actually looking for trains and buses. Just one car.
