Share the Harvest at the

St. Barnabas Cornucopia!

Many gardeners at St. Barnabas are experiencing a beautiful surplus of fresh vegetables! To celebrate and share this abundance, we invite everyone to participate in our weekly St. Barnabas Cornucopia exchange.

Here is how you can help feed our community:

  • Drop Off & Trade: Starting this Sunday, bring your extra homegrown produce to the round table in the Narthex to share or swap with others.
  • Take Home: If you see vegetables on the table, please help yourself and take some home to enjoy!
  • Blessed Blessings: Whatever remains on the table by the end of the day on Thursday will be placed on an outdoor table for the public. Thank you for sharing your harvest and supporting our local community!

Gift of Love

September "Gift of Love"

Good News Jail & Prison Ministry

"Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them.” (NRSV Hebrews 13:3.)

Our Gift of Love donations will go to support Pastor Jeff Freeman and his work at the Hennepin County Adult Corrections facility through the Good News Jail & Prison Ministry. This is the largest independent supplier of chaplains for jails and prisons worldwide, serving in 23 US states and territories and 25 countries around the world. Good News relies 100% on donations to fund its work reaching out to those others have forgotten and receives no other funding. You can make a donation by clicking on this link and selecting Chaplain Freeman in the dropdown menu: https://gnglobal.org/give/.

In addition to monetary donations, during the month of September we will be collecting items that are needed to support GED preparation classes

conducted in the Corrections facility, as well as specific articles of clothing that some inmates may need at the time of their release. See the "Donations Needed" area in the Narthex for a list of most needed items at this time then place your donations in specially marked boxes.
