Transition News
What a busy time! As we await the name for a pastoral candidate at St. Barnabas, we will be saying “Godspeed” to Bryce on March 22. Bryce has been a great gift as our pastoral assistant since April of last year and we can also celebrate with him this next step in ministry. Here is Bryce’s note to St. Barnabas:
Friends in Christ,
I am so grateful for the ministry that we have partnered in this past year. As you know, I came to St. Barnabas in a contract position and not as a called ordained pastor as I make my way through the first call process. On February 8th, Servant of Christ Lutheran Church in Champlin, MN held a congregational vote to call me as their Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministries. My last day at St. Barnabas will be Sunday, March 22nd. After this date, I will no longer be available to perform any pastoral or ministerial functions at St. Barnabas as you continue the transition process with Pastor Tom in preparation for the new Senior Pastor that will have the great privilege of serving in this community. I have great confidence that the Pastor who is called here will both bring valuable gifts and be blessed with the gifts of St. Barnabas. I cannot thank you enough for welcoming me into this role at St. Barnabas as Pastoral Assistant. You have shown unto me the love of Christ that dwells with each of us, and affirmed my sense of call to ordained ministry. I will always treasure my time in this community and wish you, your families, and the whole St. Barnabas family all the best as you continue to be an integral ministry of the neighborhood and greater Plymouth community.
In the peace of Christ, Bryce Bommersbach
Save the Date: Celebrate Bryce between services on Sunday, March 22. A card basket will be available if you would like to share a personal word of thanks. Bryce also invites St. Barnabas friends to celebrate his Ordination Service on Saturday, March 28 at Sharon Lutheran Church, Grand Forks ND, time TBD, likely mid-afternoon. Thank you for your ministry with us Bryce! God’s richest blessings on your new position as a pastor in Champlin!

Message from Ruth
I would like to express my sincerest and deepest gratitude to everyone who supported me during one of the most difficult moments of my life. First and foremost, I thank God for sustaining me and giving me strength, and I thank each of you for being instruments of His love and mercy. Every donation, every message, and every act of solidarity was a blessing that helped me hold on to hope while I went through this trial following my arrest by ICE. Your generosity represented not only material assistance, but also invaluable emotional and spiritual support. Because of you, I felt accompanied, strengthened in faith, and comforted during a time of great uncertainty. Today, with a heart full of gratitude, I pray that God may multiply His blessings upon you for all that you have given with love and compassion. I will never forget your support or the kindness you showed me.
With deep respect and gratitude,
Ruth

February "Gift of Love"
Global Health Ministries
Global Health Ministries (GHM) is an independent Lutheran nonprofit (501c3) established in 1987, and specializes in capacity-building for Lutheran health systems in under-resourced countries, serving some of the most vulnerable people in the world. We believe all people should have access to a healthy life. But they don’t. Together we can make a difference. Each year thousands of volunteers gather in our Minnesota-based warehouse to help sort and pack medical equipment and supplies to share around the world. At the request of our international partners we also
offer grants and volunteer consultants to help build their capacity to move the needle on health in their communities and effect sustainable and enduring change.
