Volunteer Appreciation Sunday
This Sunday, July 12th has been designated as Volunteer Appreciation Sunday. Join us after worship for cake during coffee hour as we celebrate our volunteers!

Whether you serve on Sunday mornings, help with funerals & fellowship events, tend our grounds & gardens, or work behind the scenes, you make our church a welcoming home for all. Pastor on Deck Sessions!
Only 2 Dates Left! You can still sign up at the Welcome Center for one of the sessions on July 18th at 5pm or July 21st at 6pm.
These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to build community and look intentionally at our timeline: past, present, and future. Together, we are discussing who St. Barnabas was at its inception, who we are right now, and who we want to become—including what staff infrastructure we need to achieve that vision. If your schedule doesn't allow you to attend, you can still participate from afar. Please pray over these questions and share your reflections with us.

Hospital Visitation
If you or someone you know will be hospitalized and would like a visit from our pastor, please reach out to the church office or directly to Pastor Mark. HIPAA confidentiality laws prohibit hospitals from sharing patient information.

The Prayer Chain
If you would like to participate in praying for our members and friends, please talk with Pastor Mark. If you would like to request prayer from our Prayer Chain, contact Brenda in the church office or talk with Pastor Mark. Please indicate if you would like your prayer request to be shared with the congregation, or if it is confidential.

Prayer Shawls
Prayer Shawls are made with prayers woven into each one. They are a tangible way to help people feel the prayers of the congregation and to experience God in a warm and loving way. If you would like to have (or share) a prayer shawl, they are located on the lowest shelf of the Donation Station in the Narthex or reach out to Bonnie Welshons.

Gluten Free Treats
Everyone, please be mindful when you’re at church for coffee hour (or any other time while at church) that the gluten free treats are ONLY for the people that can’t eat foods that contain gluten. If any of the treats located in the kitchen or pantry have someone’s name on them, DO NOT eat their food.

Quilt-a-Thon ~ Friday & Saturday, July 10 & 11 @ 9:30am
Want to come and see what the quilters do? This is a good opportunity for anyone who knows how to tie a square knot! Our focus will be on putting borders on large pieces of fabric that are too nice to cut into small pieces to reach LWR's size of 60" x 80", and to put together many small squares and blocks that we have collected from our donors into usable blocks.
If anyone has a project that they'd like to work on for the JustGifts Market in December, please come with your ideas and samples; we can have a small team working together for each activity.
Lunch will be provided on Friday (thanks to a Thrivent grant), and leftovers will be available Saturday to go with a sandwich of you choose to bring one. You are welcome for as much of the time as you have. Contact Jackie Madison or Rose Ann Parks with questions - or any of the quilters!!

Mid-Summer Word for Women Gathering
The Word for Women small group will be gathering at church on Thursday, July 16th at 9:30am for a mid-summer event. We'll mostly catch up with each other but likely talk a little about fall plans. Please bring a feminine hygiene item for IOCP. No need to RSVP, just come if you are able.

Redeemer Lutheran Church Cookout
St. Barnabas will be helping with Redeemer Lutheran’s cookout on Wednesday, July 22nd. We are not making the food this year, but will be providing music during the meal, offering some outdoor children’s
activities and may also roll out crusts and make some pizzas to order. Help is needed from approximately 5:30-7:30 at the Glenwood Avenue church in North Minneapolis. Please sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate your preferred role. For more information, contact Beth Grosen.

“The Word in Season” devotional books are available on the round table in the Narthex. This daily devotional, published quarterly, enriches life with a contemporary message for today's Christian. It reflects on the themes of Sunday's texts with relevant meditations throughout the week.

The Bridge for Youth
The need for services at The Bridge is critical. Nearly 6,000 youth experience homelessness every night in Minnesota. The Bridge supports minor youth ages 10-17 and centers youth voice, justice and equity in all they do, and empowers youth experiencing homelessness through safe shelter, basic needs, and healthy relationships. All youth feel safe, accepted, and supported.

Summer Food Drive for IOCP
Help us feed our neighbors!
St. Barnabas is hosting a joint food drive for Plymouth’s Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP). Our campus partners, Qué Tal, the Boy Scouts and Kimbanguist Church, have also joined the effort.
With your help, we passed the 1,000 lbs. mark this week!
Through the end of July, please bring your non-perishable food items to church and place them in or near the blue box by Donation Station located in the Narthex.
Watch our donation "thermometer" rise in the Ministry Center.
