Volunteer Appreciation Sunday
July 12th has been designated as Volunteer Appreciation Sunday. Join us after worship for cake during coffee hour as we celebrate our volunteers!

Whether you serve on Sunday mornings, help with funerals & fellowship events, tend our grounds & gardens, or work behind the scenes, you make our church a welcoming home for all. Pastor on Deck Sessions!
We still have some July dates open. You can sign up at the Welcome Center for the one session that fits your schedule best. Note: If you're signed up for 2 dates, make sure to cross your name off the date you're NOT attending.

These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to build community and look intentionally at our timeline: past, present, and future. Together, we are discussing who St. Barnabas was at its inception, who we are right now, and who we want to become—including what staff infrastructure we need to achieve that vision. If your schedule doesn't allow you to attend, you can still participate from afar. Please pray over these questions and share your reflections with us.

Hospital Visitation
If you or someone you know will be hospitalized and would like a visit from our pastor, please reach out to the church office or directly to Pastor Mark. HIPAA confidentiality laws prohibit hospitals from sharing patient information.

The Prayer Chain
If you would like to participate in praying for our members and friends, please talk with Pastor Mark. If you would like to request prayer from our Prayer Chain, contact Brenda in the church office or talk with Pastor Mark. Please indicate if you would like your prayer request to be shared with the congregation, or if it is confidential.

Prayer Shawls
Prayer Shawls are made with prayers woven into each one. They are a tangible way to help people feel the prayers of the congregation and to experience God in a warm and loving way. If you would like to have (or share) a prayer shawl, they are located on the lowest shelf of the Donation Station in the Narthex or reach out to Bonnie Welshons.

Quilt-a-Thon ~ Friday, July 10th & Saturday, 11th
Want to come and see what the quilters do? This is a good opportunity for anyone who knows how to tie a square knot! Our focus will be on putting borders on large pieces of fabric that are too nice to cut into small pieces to reach LWR's size of 60" x 80", and to put together many small squares and blocks that we have collected from our donors into usable blocks.
If anyone has a project that they'd like to work on for the JustGifts Market in December, please come with your ideas and samples; we can have a small team working together for each activity.
Lunch will be provided on Friday (thanks to a Thrivent grant), and leftovers will be available Saturday to go with your sandwich. YOU are welcome for as much of the time as you have. Contact Jackie Madison or Rose Ann Parks with questions - or any of the quilters!!

Mid-Summer Word for Women Gathering
The Word for Women small group will be gathering at church on Thursday, July 16th at 9:30am for a mid-summer event. We'll mostly catch up with each other but likely talk a little about fall plans. Please bring a feminine hygiene item for IOCP. No need to RSVP, just come if you are able.

“The Word in Season” devotional books are available on the round table in the Narthex. This daily devotional, published quarterly, enriches life with a contemporary message for today's Christian. It reflects on the themes of Sunday's texts with relevant meditations throughout the week.

Seniors and Friends
Join us for Seniors and Friends on Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00am. We will start with worship, then share a meal together. Stick around after lunch for a fun activity. You can sign up at the Welcome Center.

July "Gift of Love"
The Bridge for Youth
The need for services at The Bridge is critical. Nearly 6,000 youth experience homelessness every night in Minnesota. The Bridge supports minor youth ages 10-17 and centers youth voice, justice and equity in all they do, and empowers youth experiencing homelessness through safe shelter, basic needs, and healthy relationships. All youth feel safe, accepted, and supported.

St. Louis Park Fireworks Celebration ~ July 3rd
Located at Aquila Park in St. Louis Park, have a night to remember with family and friends of all ages at one of the best fireworks shows in the Twin Cities! Enjoy food trucks, entertainment, music, and fireworks. Entertainment and food trucks from 7pm-10pm. Fireworks begin at 10pm.

Hometown Celebration ~ July 3rd
Taking place at Round Lake Park, Eden Prairie, this large gathering includes food trucks, live music, a beer garden, and a spectacular fireworks display.

Music in Plymouth ~ July 8th
Plymouth’s signature summer event, Music in Plymouth, returns for the 54th year at the Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd. The event runs from 5:30pm-11:30pm and features live musical performances, food vendors, and a stunning grand finale fireworks display.

Summer Food Drive for IOCP
Help us feed our neighbors!
St. Barnabas is hosting a joint food drive for Plymouth’s Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP). Our campus partners, Qué Tal, the Boy Scouts and Kimbanguist Church, are also joining the effort. Over 600 lbs. of food was donated by YOU in the month of June. Great Job! We are still collecting throughout the month of July.
Here is how you can participate:
Please bring your non-perishable food items to church and place them in or near the blue box by Donation Station located in the Narthex.
Track our progress! St. Barnabas member Mike Barnes will collect, weigh, and deliver all donations to IOCP. Watch our donation "thermometer" rise in the Ministry Center.
The amount of donations we've received so far this week is truly amazing!
