Did you know? To many people’s surprise, St. Patrick was born in Britain, not Ireland. Born in the late 4th century in Roman-controlled Britain (likely modern-day Scotland, Wales, or northern England). At the age of 16 he was captured and brought to Ireland - where he was held captive for six years. It was during this time Patrick turned to prayer.
Legend has it, God’s voice guided Patrick to escape and he walked over 200 miles from County Mayo to the Irish coast. After returning to Britain, Patrick was once again visited by God in a dream. An angel told him to return to Ireland and spread God’s word. Patrick started religious training and studied for 15 years before returning to Ireland.
Due to his six years in Ireland Patrick was familiar with Irish culture and language. Patrick chose to incorporate traditional rituals from Ireland into his lessons, instead of attempting to replace native Irish beliefs. Most Irish people at that time practiced a nature-based religion that centered around a rich tradition of oral legend and myth. Patrick worked with their traditions and culture to tell stories that would connect. One famous example of this is his use of the Shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity.
Patrick died on March 17, 461 A.D.

It's a black Michael Kors, puffer style, knee length, hooded and there was a pair of black gloves in the pocket. If you took this coat by mistake, please bring it back to church and hang it in the front coat closet.
NOTE: It's possible that it might be a woman that came for the congregation meeting that day. If you know who this might be, please contact her.
