In Memoriam

Barb Baumann

Dear friends in Christ,

On March 14th, our St. Barnabas member Barb Baumann died. She was a member of St. Barnabas for the past 13 years. In the coming days we will have information regarding her funeral.

In John’s Gospel, chapter 14 we hear the words, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." We can trust that God is with us and is working through this process.

During this time of grief, we place our hope and trust in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection of Christ, and ask you to keep Barb's family in your loving prayers.

A Note from The Shepherd's Team

If you have a loved one that’s ill, in the hospital or is shut-in and can’t make it to church, please talk to one of the pastors or call Brenda in the church office with their contact info. We want to reach out to our members and provide care and connection from our congregation.

St. Barnabas Blog

Recently, alongside our name tags that many of us wear during worship and fellowship times, there have been pronoun stickers made available. Click here to learn more about this new opportunity for hospitality.

Other News & Church Activities

Seniors & Friends ~ Qigong Introductory class

This past Tuesday we had worship then a wonderful meal together. After eating, Elana (teacher from Que Tal) joined us for a 1/2 hour giving a Qigong (pronounced “chee gong”) introductory class. Most everyone stayed and really seemed to enjoy these low key breathing exercises.

Some health benefits include: improved circulation, improved balance & coordination, improved body awareness, some movements aid breathing, can help reduce stress and blood pressure

Elana would like to offer these 20-30 minute free classes to St. Barnabas on a weekly basis. A possibility would be Thursday mornings at 11am (after Word for Women and Cards & Coffee). If you're interested, please sign-up in the Narthex. If we can get enough people to sign up, we can make it happen.

Unclaimed Dishes

There are bowls, cups, storage containers and baking dishes on the kitchen counter that have been there for several weeks. Next time you're at church, pick up the item(s) that belong to you. Please do not put them in drawers or cupboards if you no longer want them. If these items remain unclaimed by March 31st, they will be put in a "free box". Thank you.
