A Note from Dave Baumann
On Friday, March 22nd, our family and I experienced the incredible hospitality, concern and love for which St. Barnabas is known. Thank you to all of you who helped in the Celebration of Life for Barbara. To those who provided bars, those who prepared the gathering space for the post service coffee time, and for those that did clean up...thank you, thank you, thank you. On a personal note, thank you for your kind comments and your sharing of memories of Barb. As pastor mentioned in his homily, “we love, because we were first loved” or paraphrased, “blessed to be a blessing”. We felt that love, that blessing that Friday in all of the kind gestures and the hard work of so many. I speak for our family and for myself as I say “Thank You”.

A Note from The Shepherd's Team
If you have a loved one that’s ill, in the hospital or is shut-in and can’t make it to church, please talk to one of the pastors or call Brenda in the church office with their contact info. We want to reach out to our members and provide care and connection from our congregation.

Quilting with San Pablo Women ~ March 16th
The San Pablo women came to visit St. Barnabas and learned from several of our own quilters how to quilt to help recent refugees to their area and church, to beautify their church, and to create a group that will become friends, giving women who are alone and lonely at home an activity to do together at their church.
The only equipment they have are 2 sewing machines, 1 cutting mat and scissors. No fabric, rotary cutters, rulers or thread.
On this day they learned how to add top and bottom borders on a piece of Care Bears fabric. They laid out squares that were cut for them, sewed them together (probably five different women learning to sew), then ironed, tied, and pinned the edges. It was sent home with them to be completed.
They all had fun and would like to continue. The next possible date is 4/6.

San Pablo
One of our friends from San Pablo expressed the need for a bed when we were together last week, and we are excited to say that one has been found-actually two (twin mattresses.) Now we are in need of sheets and blankets. If you have any gently used twin-sized sheets or blankets at home, or any pillows in good condition, please bring them into the donation station as soon as possible. We’d like to get our friends in a warm bed as soon as possible!

Unclaimed Dishes
There are bowls, cups, storage containers and baking dishes on the kitchen counter that have been there for several weeks. Next time you're at church, pick up the item(s) that belong to you. Please do not put them in drawers or cupboards if you no longer want them. If these items remain unclaimed by this Sunday, they will be put in a "free box". Thank you.
