Guest Preacher this Sunday
Our May Gift of Love is collected for Luther Park, one of the Lutheran Outdoor Ministries that is closest to our hearts, as St. Barnabas is one of it’s biggest supporters! Leah Pletscher, Executive Director of
Luther Park, is preaching in worship, and will be available to hear all of your crazy camp stories between services. First experiencing camp as a camper, then serving on summer staff, and now as a year‑round leader, Leah’s faith, sense of calling, and commitment to serving the world were deeply formed in this sacred space. In this season of life, Leah doesn’t have much free time, as she is joyfully chasing a toddler and preparing to welcome a second baby. When she does find a moment for herself, she loves thrift shopping, cooking, baking, and catching up with friends.

Summer Worship Schedule
One service only on Sundays at 9:30am starting Sunday, May 24th ending Sunday, September 6th.
We will return to two services beginning Sunday, September 13th.

New Front Door Access System
We have a new front and side door access system being installed with electronic locks, video intercoms, and designated access capabilities. This upgrade will allow for a more secure building and greater flexibility to manage access to the building during daily programs and after-hours events.
The system has remote locking and unlocking capabilities for the doors and the flexibility to allow multiple groups programable access and security across specific days and times. The ADA pushbutton access remains operational, and the new systems will be fully integrated into our current alarm capabilities.
We will provide access training to those affected and additional information once the system is completely installed at both door locations.
All currently scheduled groups will have access to the building at their assigned time, and the system will now auto-lock the doors during the last scheduled event of the day.
Qué Tal has partnered with St Barnabas to pay for 50% of the overall cost and we are excited for the new capabilities and security this access system will provide.

2026-2027 Church Directory
We are in the process of updating the church directory to be ready for printing by mid-May. It's very important that we have the correct contact information for our members. Now that we have a new pastor, it’s important to have pictures in the directory so that he’s able to get to know everyone’s faces.
Please let us know if any of the following pertain to you:
· You don’t have a picture in the directory and would like one added
· You want your existing picture updated (kids are older, etc.)
· You moved and have a new home address
· You have a new email address
· You have a new mobile phone number
· You no longer have a landline phone
Changes and updates will be accepted until Sunday, May 17th.
If you would like your picture taken, stop by the office Monday-Friday from 9am-2:30pm. You can also email pictures to Brenda in the church office brenda@stbarnabaslutheran.org.

Church Gardeners Needed
Julie Hanson leads a small group of volunteers that meet Wednesday mornings to maintain the back gardens. She’s looking for a few more volunteers and all levels of gardening experience are welcome. If Wednesdays don’t work, Julie can show you what needs to be done and you can work whenever it’s convenient for you. If you can only join us occasionally, that’s great too. If you have questions, please contact Julie at 612-636-5016 or hansonjuliem51@gmail.

May "Gift of Love"
Luther Park
Luther Park is a summer camp and year-round retreat and meeting facility located in Danbury, Wisconsin. Its people and programs assist congregations and groups in gathering around the Word for renewal and refreshment. People who come to Luther Park live together in small groups, participate in worship and learn activities as well as learn relationship building and have recreational opportunities. Each person is challenged and given the opportunity to speak out, take part in leadership, to experience spiritual growth, to develop outdoor skills and to grow socially.
