Pastor Stephanie’s Installation By Synod

This Sunday, a representative from the Minneapolis Area Synod will be with us in worship as we officially install Pastor Stephanie at St. Barnabas (finally!). Normally this happens close to when a pastor begins, but due to busy schedules at the synod office it has needed to wait until now. Join us in “officially” celebrating Pastor Stephanie at St. Barnabas!

Remembering Our Saints

This past Sunday we remembered the dear saints from St. Barnabas who have died this past year. Please see the additional name of Mary Krull we are including, who was not listed in the names on Sunday. Mary died this last May and had her funeral and burial in Wisconsin.

We remember in our hearts, our dear saints:

Charles Torgerson, Bob Troemel, Linda Nachtsheim, Dean Linnell, Lois Troemel, Mary Krull, Larry Worth, Dave Charlson, Helen Peterson, John Rebischke,

David Johnson, Kim Moen, Bob Sanders, Helen Schold

Bring Your 2024 Pledge Packets To Worship November 19!

On the 19th we will receive your 2024 pledge cards during our offering time of worship. We will also have a special blessing of the pledges. We welcome pledge cards after that date if you are not able to attend, simply mail back to church, or drop off in the office. Someone from our congregation stewardship team will be contacting those who have not responded as we want to hear from everyone, even if you do not plan to fill out a formal pledge card. Simply send that in as is, and respond with your intentions even if you do not have an amount listed. It will help us to know that you received your packet. Thank you for your giving!

Thanksgiving Eve Worship

Wednesday, November 22nd at 6:30PM

Join us for a service of thanksgiving, contemplation and prayer on the night before our holiday. We will also have fellowship time of pie and coffee following the service. We would welcome any pie donations for this event. Let us know in the office if you would like to donate a pie.

Ministry Scheduler Pro

We’re coming to the end of our first scheduling cycle with Ministry Scheduler Pro. The next schedule will come out on December 1st. If there’s anything about this schedule that was incorrect (ministries you participate in, services you attend, for example), or if you just don’t understand how to work with the system, talk to Pastor Stephanie or Audrey Faust after church any Sunday in November. We’ll do everything possible to help make things work for you!

Cub Foods Stamps!

The stamps will be used to purchase KitchenAid pots & pans to donate to Esperanza United, an organization that works to resettle and support women fleeing domestic violence. Esperanza has a long list of supplies that will help abuse survivors set up a new home. Bring stamps to church, and drop them in the basket on the Welcome Center. Thank you!

Volunteer Opportunities

Ministry Teams Volunteers

Are you looking for a place to plug-in at St. Barnabas? Would you like to serve in worship? We are always looking to add volunteers to all of our ministry teams, but we are especially looking to fill two new roles we’ve created:

Acolytes light the candles during the prelude and extinguish them during the postlude. They also hand the offering plates to ushers and collect them after the offering, and help if needed during communion.

Sound Technicians turn on the sound system, ensure that worship leaders have microphones and batteries are fresh, and adjust volume levels during worship, if necessary. It’s not nearly as technical as the name would lead you to believe!

Talk to Pastor Stephanie with questions or to volunteer!
