A Word from the Executive Pastor
Mission Trip 2010 Workteam
Missions change lives. They present opportunities for us serve others with love and without hesitation the way Christ did. Being active in missions brings all of God’s children together in community.  As we work together, we share the promise of hope, the kindness of love, and the strength that comes from our faith in Christ. It is our hope that by our example, those we have served will come to know Christ through us.

United Mission Week 2021 is an opportunity for our youth and adult volunteers to serve our greater community.  Students and volunteers come together to serve local families through construction projects as well as partnering with local non-profit organizations to serve the Mansfield/Arlington area. United Mission Week 2021 will be July 11th - 15th and is open to students who have completed 6th - 12th grade in the 2020-2021 school year, those from Mansfield’s special needs program, as well as adult volunteers.

The deadline to register as youth or adult volunteers is June 11th.* For information on how to serve in United Mission Week, click here.  If you have any questions, please contact Keelee or check out FAQ's.

As Christians, we are all called to serve others. How have you served as the hands and feet of Christ lately?

Blessings,
Pastor April
*Make sure you opt to "Pay Later" as you will pay $50 to FUMC Midlothian and the church will cover the remainder of the cost.
FUMC Scholarship Winners
Three high school graduates will receive scholarships through our church's 2021 Senior Scholarship Program thanks to the generosity of the congregation. Each one of them shared in their application essays how they saw people transformed by Christ.  One said that he saw children’s hearts changed as they played together at Vacation Bible School. “I saw them develop a closer relationship with their peers even when they have their differences.” Another confessed that she didn’t always feel worthy to sing in the praise band because she was struggling with her relationship with God. “This showed me that God can use me for His ways even though I am not actively pursuing Him.” The third shared how amazing it was to see the devotion to Christ exhibited by people in an African village where she volunteered despite being malnourished and having very few comforts or possessions. “Despite all these things, these children were so extremely happy and content with everything they had. It was a life-changing experience that I will never forget.”

Congratulations to scholarship winners, Emily Koehler, Sam Rice, and Elizabeth Schmidt.
