A Word from the Pastor
One of our church ministries that was most heavily impacted by COVID was our weekly worship service at MidTowne Assisted Living and Memory Care Center. When they went on lockdown, we had to stop the service, which was a loss to all who were involved, but especially those who worshiped with us.

Well, I am happy to announce that we will have our first worship service at MidTowne this Sunday! Many of the residents have not been able to participate in worship in nearly 15 months. They have a deep desire to worship together again, hearing the Word, and singing hymns. This is truly a life-changing experience for the residents and a tremendous blessing for us to share.

The worship service runs from 1:30-2:30 PM every Sunday beginning Sunday, May 9th. If you’re interested in helping with this ministry, please reach out to Pastor April.

Pastor Brady Johnston
Pastor Brady's Sabbatical
This past Sunday, Pastor Brady announced that he will be on sabbatical for the summer from May 24 through July 25. During that time, we will be having a number of guest preachers on Sunday mornings. Pastor April will be available for pastoral needs.
Israel Information Meeting

We will be hosting an information meeting for the 2022 Israel trip on Sunday, May 16th at 9:45 AM in the sanctuary. Anyone who is interested in the trip is invited to join us. This is a great time to ask any questions you might have about the trip.
Update on Parsonages
The Meadowcrest parsonage will be listed this weekend! There will be an open house from 10 AM - 2 PM on Saturday.

There are still a few items we want to take care of at the Hillcrest parsonage. If you are available to help paint or have other skills, please email Grant Hughson. We would like to put it on the market the weekend of May 14th-16th, but we want to get these tasks done in order to net the church as much as possible. If you're available and able to help, it would be much appreciated.
Church Office is Open
The church office will be open from Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm beginning Monday, May 10th. Please be aware that all visitors will need to perform a temperature check upon entry during the preschool hours per state licensing guidelines.

Michelle Subia

Our Prayer/Card Ministry sent cards to Shelby White who is a friend of the McClures. Shelby had brain surgery for a malignant tumor. Here is their note of thanks from his wife Sandy.

Thanks so much for the wonderful card you sent Shelby. I am so impressed with your church and the card ministry! It has been such a blessing to us to have that support and know so many people are praying for us. We are members of Asbury UMC (Lafayette, LA) and know how important is to have a strong church family.

Thanks again for taking the time to reach out to us.
Sandy White

Cards were also sent to Mary Frosch whose husband, David, is the nephew of Ernest & Annabelle Frosh and the cousin of Richard Frosch. She's a friend of Sharon and Dan Powers. Mary has health issues. Here is her not of thanks.

Sharon, I receive some very uplifting cards with beautiful, caring sentiment yesterday in the mail from some of your church colleagues. I am very thankful for their prayers and that they took the time to write such touching notes. They made my day. Thank you for putting me on the prayer list.
