A Word from the Pastor
Last week we kicked off Wednesday Night Live. Mark Winters joined us for the evening, as Marko the Almost Amazing Magician. We shared some laughs as well as some wonderful lessons from God’s Word.

Tonight our regular Wednesday Night Live programming will begin. Youth and Children’s programs will pick up. Pastor April will be teaching the adult Bible study. The group will be studying “In the Company of Jesus”, an in-depth look at the characters Jesus encounters in the gospels. Choir will continue meeting at their normal time. Here is a look at the schedule:

Choir 6:00-7:00 PM
Adult Bible Study 6:30-8:00 PM
Kid’s Club 6:30-7:30 PM
Youth  6:30-8:00 PM

There are a couple of things to be aware of. From 6:00-6:30 PM, the youth will have free time in the FLC to play games. The youth program will begin at 6:30 PM. Also, Kid’s Club program will go until 7:30 PM, but there will be activities for the children that last until 8:00 PM for those parents who are in Bible study.
I hope you will be able to join us. Wednesday Night Live is a great opportunity to reconnect with your church family mid-week. The programs available are great resources to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

"What is FUMC Midlothian about? How do I get connected? What is available for my kids? How can I serve?"

You've been coming to church on Sunday mornings, but you know there is more to FUMC and you have questions. Join us Sunday, September 12th at 9:45 in the FLC for Next Steps with Pastor Brady and Pastor April. Here you can find answers to all your questions and more. Registration is not necessary. We hope to see you there! Contact the church office with any questions regarding Next Steps at 972-775-3993.
Traditional Worship at 11 AM
Starting This Sunday, September 12th
We are excited to announce that we are bringing 11 AM traditional worship back to the Sanctuary this Sunday! The NEW 11 AM Traditional Service will look a little different than the 8:30 service. Led by Pastor April Fehler and Music Director, Paul Martin, we will utilize the United Methodist Hymnal instead of the projector screens for readings and song and this service will not be broadcast online. The technology used in this service will be minimal. This service will be filled with ritual and we will even have bulletins! We will continue to offer traditional worship at 8:30 AM in the sanctuary and contemporary worship at 11 AM in the FLC, as well. No matter which service you choose to attend, we hope to see you this Sunday!
The Pumpkins Are Coming...
Pumpkins will be delivered to the Patch on Sunday, September 26th after church! We need a lot of help unloading, placing pumpkins and decorating to make it inviting and welcoming for all those who come to visit. The church will provide pizza and drinks to fuel up before we get started. All are welcome - no matter size, age or skill. Everyone can help somewhere!

The Pumpkin Patch benefits Youth Missions and will be open to the public for purchasing from Monday, September 27th through October 31st. We will only accept cash and checks in the Pumpkin Patch this year.

We need your help welcoming our neighbors and working the Patch! Please click Pumpkin Patch to sign up for a shift to help in the Pumpkin Patch!
Saturday, October 2nd
October will be here before we know it! Lord's Acre is an annual church wide event that is fun for the whole family! Funds raised go towards ministries and special needs of the church. Some things will look different than years past. The 2021 schedule is as follows:
8:15-10:15 AM - Silent Auction & Country Store
9-10 AM - Face Painting
10-10:30 AM - Children's Auction
10:30 AM - Live Auction
The Turkey Dinner will immediately follow the Live Auction in the Church Courtyard
But, We Need Your Help
We need items for both the Silent and Live Auctions. We ask that you please think quality over quantity when assessing your contributions, as space is limited. Note that we are not able to accept donations of large furniture. If you have something to donate, call Laurie Lundberg at 972-877-8838 and leave a message. Drop donations off in the FLC starting Thursday, September 30th.
Calling all Crafters and Home Bakers
We also need to fill our Lord's Acre Country Store with beautiful creations and delicious treats! We would love your homemade donations for the Lord's Acre Country Store. Baked goods, savory mixes, seasonal decor and more are big hits each year. So share your talents, whatever they may be. If you have ideas or questions, please feel free to contact Cheryl Weadon
Saturday, October 9th
This year, our Lord's Acre Garage Sale is combining with our Annual Garage Sale the week after Lord's Acre, to allow for more space and volunteers. So if you've been decluttering and saving those treasures for the garage sale, it's almost time! If not, now is a great time to declutter and know that your donations will help support ministries of the church. More details coming soon!
