Sanctuary and Music Room Flooring Installation Begins August 19
It's Happening! The new flooring installation begins Monday. In preparation, we need help to move items from the music rehearsal room and Sanctuary. After Saturday worship, we would love to get a jump on moving smaller items out of the rehearsal room. Please feel free to stay for a short while and help out. After Sunday, we'll continue with moving items from both the rehearsal room and begin on the Sanctuary.

Please watch your step around the building during the next two weeks as we begin this final phase of the flooring project. Thank you.
Men's Pub Ministry Cookout
August 22, Sun Hall & Patio, 6:30 p.m.
Men's Pub Ministry is hosting its August event here at CoG with a summer cookout. E njoy a relaxing evening of food and fellowship in the Sun Hall and patio. All are welcome to participate including spouses and kids. If you want to attend, be sure to RSVP and bring a dish to share. Bring your favorite beverage or brew too!
In Our Community: Love Inc. to Distribute School Backpacks August 23 & 24
The Backpack Giveaway ministry is an outreach ministry hosted and coordinated by Discovery United Methodist Church (275 Lake Drive East, Chanhassen) in conjunction with Love INC to provide school supplies and backpacks to families who need them, serving Chaska, Chanhassen, Victoria and Carver. August Book Club
The next Book Club will meet Monday, August 26, at 11:00 a.m. at CoG. Becoming by Michelle Obama is the book for the August discussion. All are welcome to join us each month. Meet in the conference room.
Shop For Shoes on August 29, 4:00 p.m.
The Shoe Bus will be here August 29. New and gently used shoes are available for purchase. Sizes 0-6.5 are $2.00/pair; sizes 7+ are $5.00/pair. Every purchase helps provide food for the "Good In The Hood" feeding program. Invite friends, family and neighbors to stop by to shop at the Shoe Bus from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Welcome back from your summer adventures! Join us for the Annual Rally Weekend Celebration on September 7 and 8 . Catch up with friends, register children and youth for SPARK, Connect and Confirmation, learn about various ministries, and chat with Council Members while enjoying good food, fun and fellowship.

Ministry Leaders: Each ministry will have a space at at a table for the Ministry Fair. Please contact the church volunteer office administrator to confirm your setup needs.

September 7 & 8 - Rally Weekend

  • Students and Teachers Register for SPARK Sunday School and CONNECT. Blessing of the Backpacks during all Saturday and Sunday worship services. Kids can bring their backpacks for a blessing.

  • 4th Grade Milestone: Students will receive Bibles during worship to use in CONNECT class beginning on Wednesday, September 11. RSVP to Gretchen which service your child will be attending.
