Is There Someone on your Christmas Gift List Who “Has Everything”?
How about sponsoring a student from El Salvador who would otherwise not be able to afford to go to school in that person’s name ? The need is great, and Pastor Kristie has pictures of the precious kids who are praying a sponsor will come forward to help them start the new school year in January.

K-9 students need $190 per year ; high school students, $370 ; and university students, $1,510 . We provide means for sponsors to connect directly and personally with their students.

Christmas Giving Tree 2018
The Sheridan Story:
Fighting Child Hunger
Through Community & School Partnership
Crown of Glory invites you to join in the fight against child hunger in our community with our partner “The Sheridan Story”. This outreach provides for children in need within the Chaska school district. You can sponsor a child for $130 for ONE year, or you can sponsor a child for $65 for a half a year.

There are postcards and gift envelopes located on the “Giving Tree” in the gathering area. Thank you for considering this special gift and supporting this cause.

Please place your “Sheridan Story” gift in the envelope provided and place it in the offering plate or in the church office by Sunday, December 30.   Please make checks payable to “Crown of Glory Lutheran Church” and write “The Sheridan Story” in the memo line.
Crown of Glory: End of Year Giving
People often choose to make special financial contributions at year end. If you would like to designate a special gift for Crown of Glory debt reduction (and thereby reduce CoG's interest expenses) or another special fund, please note that with your gift or speak to Pastor Reggie. Crown of Glory will receive special year-end gifts through Monday, December 31, 2018, until 5:00 p.m. Please contact Pastor Reggie if you plan to drop off your gift on Monday, December 31st, 2018.
Lefse Bake Thanks!
Crown of Glory celebrated its 11th Annual Lefse Bake Sale last weekend and we want to thank all of our partners and families who helped make this a fun holiday tradition and a huge fundraising success! Your energy, service, and devotion to making the best lefse is amazing! Thank you to our adult and youth participants for an amazing experience!
Coming in January! "Lunch & Learn"
Adults with flexible time during the day are the special focus for this new fellowship/education ministry. Lunch will be served, a devotion by a pastor shared, and then 30 minutes of learning time led by someone in our greater community who knows or does something we may find helpful and/or interesting.

The schedule so far looks like this:
  • Tuesday, January 15: 11:30-1:00 p.m.: “Chasing the Mariposas"-- an illustrated presentation about Monarch butterflies by Mark Laven, retired science teacher, photographer, and nature enthusiast.

  • Tuesday, February 12: 11:30-1:00 p.m.: “Ensuring our Safety”-- information on how we can help ourselves stay safe at home and elsewhere by Police Officer Julie Janke.
