SPARK Lesson: "Noah's Ark"
This Sunday, Jenni Payne will read Genesis 6-9 from the SPARK Story Bible. Be sure to have yours with you and follow along! We will hear about the story of Noah, his family, and their journey on the ark. We will also be reminded of God’s sadness by our sins and how God’s love for us overcomes it all!
Nursery Nuggets
Hi Nursery Buddies and Parents!

I hope you had a fun Valentine’s Day and feel extra loved! It was great to see all of the beautiful Alleluias on Sunday. Thank you so much for brightening up our Sunday!

One thing that makes a friendship fun is the similarities we can share with others. At the same time, the differences we can have make a friendship even more special when we take the time to learn about them and be grateful for them. I can do a lot, but I cannot do everything. I know I need others and their talents to better my experience during my time on Earth. I may be able to sing, but I don’t know how to play the piano that well. It might be harder for me because I am left-handed, so the keys I need to lead with are on the opposite side of the piano from the hand I lead with. Anyway, I find it challenging. For me to sing to music, I need someone to play the piano. Each of us has different gifts from God!

We are going to do an experiment this week. If you look around your home, there are all sorts of musical instruments around us. If everyone in your home can find or make a different instrument, all the better. As each of you practice playing each instrument on your own, it sounds like a mess. However, when you all play together with the different sounds, it can come together in such a beautiful way when we are working together to glorify God.

Here are some ideas for how to make some musical instruments: 10 DIY Musical Instruments for Kids - Planning Playtime. There are plenty of ideas out there; you can make music out of so many things!

Chancel Choir in Worship, Virtually, this Sunday, February 21!
Be still and know, know that I am your God.
Be still and know, and you’ll find rest, a refuge for your soul.

Composer and poet Michael John Trotta wrote these words, adapting Psalm 46:10. They were the last words the Chancel Choir sang together before Crown of Glory had to shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not being able to gather in-person is a huge loss for all of us. Thank God for livestreaming worship! For choir members, gathering to sing God’s word is one of the primary ways we feed our souls and express our faith. It must be a God-thing (or just dumb luck) that the last thing we sang together were words that would ring in our hearts and help us through this difficult time.

So, like everything in the time of COVID, we have figured out how to sing together virtually. Singers learned their parts on their own, then recorded themselves singing. Dan Rue compiled them into one beautiful video that will be shared at the Offering THIS Sunday, and these words are just as important and relevant today as they were a year ago.

Tune into our livestream worship at 9:30 a.m. to hear Be Still and Know by Michael John Trotta, sung by members of Crown of Glory’s Chancel Choir.
