This is a wonderful opportunity for middle and high school students to volunteer! Fifth grade and younger are welcome, but need to be accompanied by an adult. Cart runners should come prepared for the weather.

Wednesdays in Lent: Soup, Art and Worship
Every Wednesday in Lent will include a soup supper at 5:00 p.m. and worship at 6:30 p.m. During the time that we gather for a meal and prior to worship, the congregation will be invited to participate in Illustrated Lent: Coloring Near the Cross! This year, Crown of Glory will be coloring through the Psalms!
Illustrated Psalm Devotions
Illustrated Psalm devotions for Lent are available to pick up in the Lobby! Read, listen, and reflect on a Psalm and your life as you color together! Set a family date night each week to grow in faith together during the season of Lent! 
Lent Choir Rehearsal Schedule
During Lent, February 26 through April 1, Wednesday choir rehearsal times change slightly due to worship. Choir members please mark your calendars.
  1. Servant Song 5:00-5:45 p.m.
  2. Chancel Chimers Handbell Choir 5:45-6:20 p.m.
  3. Worship 6:30-7:15 p.m.
  4. Chancel Choir 7:15-8:30 p.m.

Good Friday Cantata, Friday April 10

On Good Friday the Chancel Choir will sing Song of the Shadows , a cantata for Holy Week and Good Friday by Joseph Martin. The cantata tells the story of Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday in contemporary poetry and music. Chancel Choir has begun rehearsals for this and welcomes all singers to join them. New Member Dinner and Orientation
For all visitors and guests looking to make Crown of Glory their church home, you are invited to the New Member Dinner and Orientation on Sunday, March 1 from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m   . in the Sun Hall! We’ll begin the evening with a meal and orientation to Crown of Glory membership will follow!

Join us for a special worship as we welcome New Member families on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8   during each of our worship services. Families will be introduced and following worship, all are invited to share in fellowship in the Sun Hall!  
Cinnamon Roll
Cinnamon Roll and Coffee Fundraiser
The senior high youth attending the Mission Trip will be hosting two fundraisers on Sunday mornings starting March 1 .

Cinnamon rolls and orange juice will be available following each worship service; suggested donation is $1. Be sure and get one or two of these sweet treats after worship! Thank you for supporting this ministry!

Easter Flower Orders
Envelopes for ordering Easter flowers are now available at the administration desk. Please place your completed envelope and payment in the 'drop box' in the office on the left. Orders are due by March 25 at 3:00 p.m.
Sanctuary Chair Update
The chair committee includes Steve Tinker and Bob Chinnock, co-chairs, Kristi Kirsch, Jeni Stifter, Nicole Washburn, and Erin Chinnock. The committee has received comments from several CoG members and followed up on high quality chairs from other churches. We are working with 3 potential suppliers who specialize in church chairs and will be receiving sample chairs from all 3 before April 1. Dedicated funds are in place to allow for the purchase of 300 chairs after reviewing the samples. If you have questions or comments, please see Bob or Steve.
Leap into Climate Action: Leap Day, 2020
Join us Saturday, February 29 from 1:30 p.m.—3:30 p.m. at the Chanhassen Public Library Wilder Room for a conversation with climate change activists Greg Laden & Phillip Adam, and gather information from other local climate groups. 

In an effort to be environmentally conscious, please bring your own beverage, as plastic bottles of water will not be provided

Girl Scout Cookie Week
If you have a girl scout who is a member of CoG and is interested in selling cookies here at church-the time is coming! One table will be shared with any girls who are interested in selling cookies. Spots are limited.

Wednesday, March 11 - Starting around 4:45 p.m.
Saturday, March 14 - Before and after the 5:00 p.m. service
Sunday, March 15 - After the 9:00 a.m. service
Sunday, March 15 - After the 10:30 a.m. service

First Communion
First Communion Instruction
The next First Communion class will be on Sunday, March 15 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Sun Hall!
 
We encourage all 4 th  grade students and older not yet receiving this sacrament to attend the instruction time. Participants will make a clay chalice to use for their First Communion experience during Maundy Thursday Worship (Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 pm).
 
Please Note: At least one Parent/Guardian is expected to attend this important milestone instruction with their child. Contact Pastor Laura Laughlin or Gretchen to register or if you have questions.
Seeking Nursery Assistants
Care for our youngest members during worship services and congregational events. This is a paid position. Contact Jenni Payne or Gretchen Pierskalla for more information.
Vacation Bible School
VBS registration is available online! Our theme this year is Generation to Generation! Gather with friends old and new as we worship, play, craft, and share faith conversations June 15-19, 2020! Staff from Green Lake Lutheran Ministries will guide us. Full and Half Day registration available. Youth volunteers, adult volunteers, and host homes are needed. Contact Gretchen to participate or learn more.

Soup's On
Our Lenten Soup Suppers began on February 26. 

We’ll have a “Soup of the Week” plus 2-3 "Family Favorites" provided by our members!

Volunteer to make your favorite soup and share with the congregation.

Sign-up sheets are available in the Lobby. Look for the high-top table with the "Soup Supper Sign-Up". Thank you!
