Seasonal Sanctuary Arts:
Creatives & Worker Bees Needed!
Pastor Kristie is assembling a team of creative types and workers bees to collaborate on some ways to enhance our worship space, carrying out seasonal themes related to the liturgical seasons.

If you might be interested in this kind of creative, collaborative, faith-enhancing process, please let PK know with an email: pastorkristie@crownofglory.org .

We’ll meet on Saturday, January 19, at 10 a.m. to get acquainted over coffee and (tiny) cinnamon rolls, inventory what COG already has for seasonal decorations, and brainstorm what we might add for the season of Lent.

Kitchen Essentials Ministry
New Year's Resolution--Declutter!
Since August, Crown of Glory’s Kitchen Essentials Ministry has assisted 15 families by providing them with much-needed kitchen items.

As we begin 2019, please consider donating new or gently used kitchen items to this ministry. You may have a resolution to declutter your home and find that you have too many kitchen towels, glasses or baking sheets. Or maybe you received a new set of pots and pans, dishes or silverware as a Christmas gift. Your old set can find a new home with a family in need in Eastern Carver County.

We also are in need of coffee pots, toasters, and cooking utensils. Items can be placed in the alcove behind the kitchen at Crown of Glory.

Please contact Tracy Cunningham at 952-239-9344 if you have any questions. Thank you for your support of the Kitchen Essentials Ministry.

Seeking Adventurers!
Pastor Kristie co-leads a mission trip for adults willing to travel out of their comfort zones into a unique adventure of faith, learning, and self-discovery. Where, you ask? The beautiful country of  El Salvador , the “Little Thumb” of Central America. All-in cost is  $1,700  (final cost determined by the cost of airfare) and the dates this year are  July 11-18, 2019 .

Our home base will be a lovely guesthouse in a quiet neighborhood of San Salvador. Every day we will go out in microbuses to explore the treasures of El Salvador and walk alongside our Salvadoran Lutheran Church friends. We’ll visit historic sites, natural wonders, schools, and rural communities. We’ll eat  pupusas , learn some Spanish, fall in love with these courageous, resilient people, and gain some perspective on our own lives and faith.

To register, a down payment of  $200  is required. Brochures about the trip are available on the door to Pastor Kristie’s office. If you are interested, please take one and feel free to call PK with your questions, 651-235-2451.
