New Chancel Choir Piano Accompanist
Please welcome Ginger Larson, the new Chancel Choir accompanist. When we found out in December that Wenshuai Zhong could not work for Crown of Glory, Ginger stepped in as an emergency sub for the Cantata Sunday and obviously did very well. Her skill and easy-going, can-do personality are great gifts to Crown of Glory.

She is a graduate of the University of St. Katherine in St. Paul with a degree in music (piano), and a professional freelance pianist/accompanist throughout the Twin Cities. She is also the official collaborative pianist for the St. Kate’s music department.

Seasonal Worship Arts:
Creatives & Worker Bees Needed!
Pastor Kristie is assembling a team of creative types and workers bees to collaborate on some ways to enhance our worship space, carrying out themes related to the liturgical seasons.

If you might be interested in this kind of creative, collaborative, faith-enhancing process, please let PK know with an email: pastorkristie@crownofglory.org .

We’ll meet on Saturday, January 19th, at 10 a.m. to get acquainted over coffee and (tiny) cinnamon rolls, inventory what COG already has for seasonal decorations, and brainstorm what we might add for the season of Lent.
Hospitality
New "Welcome Team" Forming
Crown of Glory is seeking smiling and hospitable members to join our “Welcome Team”! This new Welcome Team will work closely with the pastors to help form a welcoming experience at Crown of Glory for all visitors, newcomers, and new members who wish to join our congregation!

If you want to serve on this “Welcome Team” please contact Pastor Reggie or Pastor Kristie

Our first Welcome Team gathering will be held on  Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:30 p.m.  Come and learn more about intentional hospitality! Refreshments will be served.
New Year, New Us!
As we move into 2019, two of our ministry teams, the Kitchen Planning Team and the Interior Decor Team, are looking to "re-assemble" and develop some plans - both short and long-term - for the new year.

  • The Kitchen Planning Team will look at the general needs of the kitchen, functionality, procedures, etc. Do we have the right equipment, is the workflow efficient and practical, etc. (No cooking required!)
  • The Interior Decor Team works to promote that warm and welcoming feeling for all who enter our doors. The team will work to make sure that our spaces are functional and meet the needs of all who use our facilities.

If you're interested in sharing your ideas and talents with either of these groups, brainstorming meetings have been set:

·   Kitchen Planning Team - Wednesday, February 6th at 6:15 p.m.
· Interior   Decor Team - Wednesday, February 13th at 6:15 p.m.

Not looking for another huge commitment? These groups would plan to meet one or two times over the next few months, and then quarterly going forward. Questions, please contact, Julie Youngman for The Kitchen Planning Team and Pastor Kristie for The Interior Décor Team.

Kitchen Essentials Ministry
New Year's Resolution--Declutter!
Since August, Crown of Glory’s Kitchen Essentials Ministry has assisted 15 families by providing them with much-needed kitchen items.

As we begin 2019, please consider donating new or gently used kitchen items to this ministry. You may have a resolution to declutter your home and find that you have too many kitchen towels, glasses or baking sheets. Or maybe you received a new set of pots and pans, dishes or silverware as a Christmas gift. Your old set can find a new home with a family in need in Eastern Carver County.

We also are in need of coffee pots, toasters, and cooking utensils. Items can be placed in the alcove behind the kitchen at Crown of Glory.

Please contact Tracy Cunningham at 952-239-9344 if you have any questions. Thank you for your support of the Kitchen Essentials Ministry.
