"Our spiritual vocation as grandparents is to delight in our grandchildren.” So says Pastor Ralph Milton. In this Lunch & Learn conversation, we will outline the joys and the opportunities of grandparenting, especially from a perspective as people of faith. What is our role in embodying the faith that holds us and gives us hope? What is it like to be a kid these days? How is the church helpful (and not-so-helpful) in the spiritual awakening of children and teens?

This conversation is for grandparents, grandparents-to-be, and parents who are interested in securing allies in bringing up children who are connected to a positive spirituality.

Please R.S.V.P with the  church office .
Seeking Volunteers for Fare For All
Fare For All is seeking volunteers to serve next week on Thursday, May 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Crown of Glory. This is a wonderful way to serve people in our community! The shoe bus will also be at the event so additional volunteers are needed because it usually draws a larger crowd.

If you are able to volunteer, please contact Kanitta Rentfrow.
A "Shower" for the Kitchen Essentials Ministry
In appreciation of your support, we are excited to invite you to a “shower” for the Kitchen Essentials Ministry following our church services at Crown of Glory on May 18 and May 19.

Cake and cupcakes will be served in the fellowship area. If you are able to contribute to this Love INC ministry, we welcome you to bring a small gift of a new or gently used kitchen item.

Items on the gift registry include:

Dinnerware sets, drinking glasses, silverware, pots, pans, spatulas, cooking utensils, measuring cups, cookie sheets, coffee pots, pitchers, tea kettles, can openers and toasters.
Crown of Glory Church Council Announces Results For Special Congregational Meeting

There were 96 members in attendance. The official vote was 93 “Yes” and 3 “No”. The vote passed.
Our sincere appreciation to everyone who attended the special congregational meeting, brought great discussion and interest, and for your continued support in our efforts to improve and grow our church community.
Warm Regards,

Register Today for Vacation Bible School
June 24-28, 2019
VBS Registration is Open  -  Click here.

We are also seeking  VBS volunteers,  both adults and youth. And we are hoping to secure some  host homes for the Green Lake Bible Camp counselors who will be leading VBS this year. If you can help with either of these, or want more information, please be sure to contact Gretchen Pierskalla , Director, Children's Ministries.
Be a part of making the church beautiful and inviting by adopting a small garden or planter and caring for it on your own schedule. We are looking for people to purchase, plant, water, and maintain annuals for the beds and planters outside of the church. We will make it easy for you by choosing the plants and helping with any guidance needed.

If you’d like to participate but are only interested in part of the project-funding, planting, or maintaining, we will gladly welcome your participation in that way as well.

Anyone interested, please email Sherri Eriksrud or call at 612-760-1766.
Church League Softball
It's that time of year again to sign-up for softball. The league is
co-ed and plays every Monday from June to mid-August. Players should be 14 or older.

The next practice will be held on June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Lion's Park field #1 . If you would like to play some or all of the games, please contact Grant Taylor at 952-210-7678 or email at grantataylor@hotmail.com.
Thrivent Members
Are you a member of Thrivent? If so, please check your Thrivent Choice Dollars and possible Thrivent Action Team designations. Thrivent Choice Dollars must be allocated each year and COG is one possible choice you could make for those. Also, depending on your membership, you may have one or two Action Teams allotted to you. We have been able to receive $250 for each Action Team we create from member's taking action on their account to "seed" a project for COG.

If you have questions on how to do this, please let Pastor Reggie know and he and other members can help find a great allocation of Thrivent Funds!
