"Our spiritual vocation as grandparents is to delight in our grandchildren.” So says Pastor Ralph Milton. In this Lunch & Learn conversation, we will outline the joys and the opportunities of grandparenting, especially from a perspective as people of faith. What is our role in embodying the faith that holds us and gives us hope? What is it like to be a kid these days? How is the church helpful (and not-so-helpful) in the spiritual awakening of children and teens?

This conversation is for grandparents, grandparents-to-be, and parents who are interested in securing allies in bringing up children who are connected to a positive spirituality.

Please R.S.V.P with the  church office .
Announcing a Special
Congregational Meeting
The Crown of Glory Lutheran Church Council has scheduled a congregational meeting for Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to consider a proposal from PulteGroup regarding a portion of the church property. All members are encouraged to attend. Details of this meeting will be mailed to each member's home.
Crown of Glory's Landscape Committee invites you to Adopt-A-Garden!
Be a part of making the church beautiful and inviting by
adopting a small garden or planter and caring for it on your
own schedule. We are looking for people to purchase, plant,
water, and maintain annuals for the beds and planters
outside of the church. We will make it easy for you by
choosing the plants and helping with any guidance needed.

If you’d like to participate but are only interested in part of the project-funding, planting, or maintaining, we will gladly welcome your participation in that way as well.

Anyone interested, please contact Sherri Eriksrud at 612-760-1766 or email at seriksrud@bachmans.com.

Wednesday Evening Dinner Team Seeks New Leadership Team
For the past two years, a small but mighty team of volunteers has been diligently working to plan, prepare, and serve dinners on Wednesday evenings for the Crown of Glory congregation. This year alone, more than 2,420 individuals have come through the line for a tasty, nutritious meal.
The leadership team responsible for this ministry includes Julie Youngman, Dena Schulz, Kate Campbell, Kirsten Segar, Sandi Rue, Betty Larson, and Allison Larson. They've each volunteered many hours to support successful Wednesday night events, working closely with confirmation students and their parents who have served and cleaned up after each dinner. Thanks to all of them and to everyone who has come to enjoy a meal and fellowship!
The current team will be stepping down from leading the efforts next month (after the final meal of the year is served in mid-May). We are currently seeking new volunteers who will assume leadership responsibility when meals begin again in the fall. The current team has set up an organized and thorough process that will be helpful to the new team, and they will be available to provide initial support and training.
If you are interested in leading or serving on a team to support this ministry, please contact Pastor Reggie .
Register Today for Vacation Bible School

VBS Registration is Open  -  Click here.

We are also seeking  VBS volunteers,  both adults and youth. And we are hoping to secure some  host homes for the Green Lake Bible Camp counselors who will be leading VBS this year. If you can help with either of these, or want more information, please be sure to contact Gretchen Pierskalla , Director, Children's Ministries.
Seeking Nursery Assistants!
We are seeking Nursery Assistants to care for our youngest during worship and program events. These are paid positions. Please contact our Nursery Coordinator, Jenni Payne for more details.
Thrivent Members
Are you a member of Thrivent? If so, please check your Thrivent Choice Dollars and possible Thrivent Action Team designations. Thrivent Choice Dollars must be allocated each year and COG is one possible choice you could make for those. Also, depending on your membership, you may have one or two Action Teams allotted to you. We have been able to receive $250 for each Action Team we create from member's taking action on their account to "seed" a project for COG.

If you have questions on how to do this, please let Pastor Reggie know and he and other members can help find a great allocation of Thrivent Funds!
