Crown of Glory is growing in so many ways and we want to welcome all newcomers into the life of this community! Are you seeking to make Crown of Glory your church home? We welcome all newcomers to attend our New Member Welcome on Wednesday evening starting at 5 p.m., October 10. Our evening begins with a great family friendly meal at our Wednesday Night Dinner.

Following dinner we will retreat to the Conference Room for our New Member Orientation and a special welcome from Pastor Reggie! Orientation will be completed by 6 p.m. All are welcome! New Member Recognition is scheduled for the weekend of October 27 th and 28 th. All new members and their families will be recognized during worship. To get signed up or for more information, please contact Pastor Reggie at the church office or by email at pastorreggie@crownofglory.org!
THANK YOU Landscaping Volunteers!
Due to the great volunteer turnout last weekend (20+ people), the Landscape Committee is happy to report that we do not need volunteers on October 6 -- everything was planted last week! Thank you everyone for showing up and helping - our grounds look great.
Let Peace Prevail On Earth

Last weekend Crown of Glory held its Peace Pole dedication ceremony and we are now designated as a peace site by the World Peace Prayer Society.

Our Peace Pole is prominently displayed next to the church entrance with the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" engraved in 8 different languages: Spanish, Lakota, English, Arabic, Hebrew, German, Somali and Vietnamese. We are proud to spread Jesus message of love and peace to all people in the Chaska and Carver County community and beyond.

Eagle Scout Completes Playset Safety Project for CoG
A huge thank you to Eagle Scout Mitchell Larson. Mitchell developed and implemented his plan to improve CoG's playset area by raising funds to create and install a new rubber mulch ground cover that will provide cushion for children using the playset. The new mulch was installed last Saturday by Mitchell and his fellow scouts.

Thank you to this young group of men for helping create a safer play area for our younger members.
Another Safety Improvement Completed Last Week
New, permanent fencing was installed in the patio garden outside of the Sun Hall as a safety precaution from anyone accidentally falling from a high distance. We are blessed to have so many volunteers helping coordinate or take care of ongoing mprovements that result in our building being a safe place for all.
Additional Exterior Work Completed
In addition to the enhancements to our landscaping and playset area, last week more volunteers helped stain and seal the upper beams on the building exterior. This will prevent the wood from deteriorating. Thank you to Bob Chinnock, Rory Chinnock, Larry Balfanz, Doug Sayles, and Jeff Segar -- being lifted up by attending church has a new meaning!
Choir and Servant Song Seeking Musicians
The Chancel Choir is looking for a piano accompanist to play for Wednesday evening rehearsals and Sunday worship. This is a compensated position, about 6-8 hours per week.

Servant Song is looking for a guitar or two as well as a second drummer. Both positions are volunteer and are on an as needed/as available schedule. If you are interested, please contact Tom Paulson, Director of Music and Worship Tpaulson@CrownofGlory.org.
Thanks For Pitching It In the Right Bin
Crown of Glory strives to be a good environmental steward with its recycling program. You can do your part by recycling items into the proper bins, labeled "Recycle," Organics," or "Trash." Labels and signage are located on and near the bins as reminders. The Green Team thanks you for your ongoing support of this program.
