Masks For Music Ministry Fundraiser Ends on September 27!
We are selling homemade cloth masks to raise funds to purchase outdoor sound equipment. Thanks to your support, we have raised almost $1,000 and have been able to purchase new microphone cords, two new speakers, and an outdoor soundboard!

Still need a mask during this pandemic time? Try one of ours, carefully made by our Faith Knotters! Each mask has an elastic band so there are no strings to tie. There are sizes for adults and children with some of your favorite colors and patterns. Purchase one for everyone in your family to help support a good cause.

Masks will be available for pick up during outdoor worship on September 27.  The cost of each mask is $5.00. For more information about this fundraiser please contact Pastor Reggie. Thank you!
Blessing of the Animals Service: Saturday, October 3
Do you have a furry, scaly, or feathered friend that you would love to honor and bless? In the spirit of “all God’s creatures having a place in the choir,” CoG will be hosting its first ever Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, October 3, at 5:00 p.m.! Plan to come with your pet(s), or a picture of a pet who has died, for a short blessing service outside in the CoG parking lot.

Please visit our website to view the guidelines for attending and to register. Questions? Contact Pastor Laura.
Campfire Worship: Saturday, October 10
Mark your calendars for our fall Campfire Worship on Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 p.m.! We will gather for a casual service, and enjoy socially distanced fellowship after.

Join us around a warm campfire before the weather gets chilly! Bring a lawn chair, your mask and a marshmallow roasting stick. Marshmallows will be provided!

Registration and following CDC guidelines is required. More details to come next week! Please contact Pastor Laura with any questions.
New Loaves & Fishes Volunteer Coordinator!
We are delighted to announce Jenni Payne as the new Loaves & Fishes Coordinator! Jenni will be working alongside Jay Whiting, the newly “retired” coordinator, for the next few months as she learns the tasks and duties of the position! We give thanks for Jenni’s leadership and service to this ministry.

Loaves & Fishes serves meals on the third Tuesday of the month at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Shakopee. All meals are pre-packaged and served outdoors. Volunteers are always welcome.
Kitchen Essentials Ministry
Although it has looked different than years past, Crown of Glory’s Kitchen Essentials Ministry has continued to serve those in need in our community. We have provided 15 families with basic kitchen items so far this year.

At this time we are accepting donations at Furnishare, 7890 Market Blvd., Chanhassen during their store hours. We are especially in need of toasters. Other accepted items are everyday silverware and dinnerware sets, baking sheets and pans, glassware, cooking pots and pans, potholders and dish towels.

Thank you for your continued support of this ministry. Please contact Tracy at 952-239-9344 if you have any questions.
Confirmation and Connect Food Drive
Connect and Confirmation youth will be joining forces next Wednesday, September 30 from 5:45-8:00 p.m. to collect non-perishable food items around the community to support Bountiful Basket Food Shelf!
Donations may also be dropped off at the Crown of Glory Church parking lot from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Crown of Glory members are also welcome to participate in this service event! Please contact Pastor Reggie with any questions. Thank you for supporting our community!
It’s almost time to pick up your October SPARK bags! Please plan to stop by the church next Wednesday, September 30 or Thursday, October 1 between 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Once you arrive, give the office a call and tell us how many bags you need (one bag for each SPARK student) and a staff member will bring them out to you! Feel free to let Pastor Laura know if you have any questions or need to make different arrangements for picking up your bags. Please contact Pastor Laura for more information.

SPARK Lesson: "The Chief Priests"

This Sunday, we will read from the Gospel of Matthew and learn about the chief priests who ask Jesus a tricky question. In his answer, Jesus tells a story about two sons who were asked to work in a vineyard. The first son said no and then worked anyway; the second said yes, but never went to work. The story tells us that no question is too tricky or hard for Jesus, and he will always answer our questions!
Nursery Nuggets
Hi Nursery Buddies and Parents!

We are into our lesson on the beautiful Creation story. This is where we all started from. It’s more then amazing how powerful and thoughtful God is as He created the universe and all that is in it. There’s also the connection each one of us living things has to this one Scripture, we all relate to being created.

Re-read: Genesis 1:1-31 (This can be a great way to start a tradition of reading scripture during dinner, at bath time or bedtime.)

Bible Memory: Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth”

Song to sing: He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands

This week’s color: The second thing God created was the sky and water. Our color is blue! Brainstorm things that are blue; you can draw and color them, even pick out your favorite shade of blue because there are so many!

Adventure: Go on a walk and try to spot things that are blue.

Have Fun,
Jenni Payne
Nursery Coordinator
