Crozet Master Plan Phase 2 Continues with Neighborhoods & Housing Workshop

We will create small group conversations based on where you reside, so please indicate that when you RSVP .
The Purpose of the Event
During this workshop, we'll work with community members to consider updates to the Master Plan's residential land use designations and housing recommendations, discuss appropriate form and scale for infill development in aging neighborhoods, and develop an understanding about how the neighborhood experience should transition to and from centers of activity like Downtown and Starr Hill/Music Today.

What Will We Talk About?
We'll look to Crozet community members to respond to these questions:
  • What are the appropriate future land use designations for neighborhoods and residential areas in Crozet?
  • Are there areas where greater density or a wider variety of housing types may be appropriate to address affordable housing concerns?
  • What are the most important elements of housing and site design for certain neighborhoods or parts of Crozet?

How Will We Use Your Input?
Staff will utilize community feedback to update future land use designations for the residential areas of Crozet and include form recommendations and other narrative in the Master Plan text.

All are welcome and invited to participate in this important community conversation.

If you are unable to attend this workshop, we will have an online opportunity for you to provide feedback. We will send out an email and a facebook notice when that is available.
During the January 13th Character & Land Use Workshop, staff and community members discussed the community's centers of activity (Downtown, Starr Hill/Music Today, Old Trail and Clover Lawn) and the edges of Crozet.

If you weren’t able to attend, have additional thoughts you’d like to contribute, or want to see what other Crozet residents are saying, participate in our online questionnaire!
What’s Next In Phase 2?
Phase 2 of the Master Plan Update (Focus Areas & Design Strategies) will run through June with a number of opportunities to get involved. The goals for this phase include workshopping focus areas and specific topics, identifying an implementation framework and strategies, and designing the Master Plan’s policies and projects with the community.
