Crusader Connection

December 8, 2023

Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families:

The month of December is filled with many fun activities and Christmas Break is just around the corner. It has been a wonderful year, with much to celebrate and be thankful for. We see and feel God’s presence each and every day here at school, through our students, parents, faculty and staff. This was especially apparent during our International Day of Giving for our annual fund and our Student Council and NJHS’s participation in the Holiday Heroes event hosted by Tomball Police Department. The virtue of charity is abundant at St. Anne Catholic School.

Our Advent by Candlelight was a beautiful event to start the Advent season. We are grateful to our chairs Mrs. Scheer and Mrs. Van Overborg and all who helped to put on this special event.

Congratulations to our middle school drama class on their performance of Peter Pan. Thank you to Mrs. Ross for your hard work and dedication to our students and our fine arts program.

Looking ahead to next week, we have a week filled with Christmas spirit wear. Please check the Christmas Spirit Week calendar below for details. We also have our gingerbread house decorating competition and our toy drive continues through Wednesday, with the final drop off during afternoon carline. Our first through fifth grades will have their evening Christmas performance on Thursday, December 14th at 6pm. Please refer to Mrs. Jones letter below. PreK and Kindergarten will have their Christmas program on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the gym, with their Christmas parties happening on Thursday. All other classes will have their Christmas parties on Friday. Friday is a half day, and we will have classroom pickup for all students. We will not have aftercare on Friday.

At Mass on Sunday, we will light the Bethlehem candle which represents peace and preparation. During this second week of Advent, we reflect on our lives and work on becoming the best that we can be in preparation for Jesus’ coming. We remember the journey Joseph and Mary took from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

Have a blessed weekend!

With gratitude,

Kendall Shamas, Ed. D

Principal

Frassati Catholic High School - December 15, Priority Application Deadline

Frassati Catholic applications are open for the 2024-25 academic year and the Priority Application Deadline is next Friday, December 15! For current 8th grade students or those interested in transferring, this is the first step to becoming a Frassati Falcon - and families can get started today. Simply log in to the SchoolAdmin admissions portal, click "begin admissions process" and you'll be on your way! Following the completed online application, applicants will have access to the applicant checklist, providing the ability to upload documents, see their application progress, and even schedule a shadow visit on campus early next semester. The Priority Application Deadline comes with the benefit of a lower application fee - after the deadline Frassati Catholic will continue to accept applications for the 2024-2025 academic year, although applying early is the best way to ensure an admissions decision by the Friday, March 8 decision release.
