Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families,
The cooler fall weather is finally here, and there is so much to be grateful for! Congratulations to our varsity soccer and volleyball teams for making it to the playoffs! Volleyball will play on Monday at St. Vincent de Paul and soccer will play on Tuesday at home. We hope to see everyone out cheering on our Crusaders.
The Fall Festival was a huge success! Thank you for so generously sharing your time, talent, and treasure to make the event so special. It was wonderful to see so many of our families enjoying the day together. This weekend, the parish will host Trunk or Treat on Saturday evening — a safe and fun event for all ages.
Looking ahead, next week is filled with excitement! We will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, and pumpkins for the Pumpkin Contest are due on Tuesday. Our 8th graders will visit Strake Jesuit and St. Agnes on Monday. After Mass on Wednesday, our 3rd graders will present their Saints’ Projects, and Cane’s will host Spirit Night that evening. On Friday, we will enjoy our Fall STREAM Day — a hands-on day of learning focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Don’t forget to register for Steps for Students — early bird registration closes on October 31st. Also, please sign up for the Vocations Dinner and a Movie by Thursday. You’ll find all event details in the Crusader Connection below.
As we move through this busy season, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we are building faith, community, and lifelong learners.
Blessings,
Dr. Kendall Shamas
Principal

November 3 - 7
National Vocation Awareness Week is an annual celebration in the Catholic Church dedicated to promoting, praying for, and supporting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life.
During this week our students will engage in activities, prayer, discussions, and guest speakers to foster an understanding of vocations as a response to God’s invitation to serve others and deepen their faith. Saints serve as powerful role models of how to live out a divine calling with courage, dedication, and love. They each responded uniquely to God’s invitation, whether as priests, religious sisters and brothers, or lay people, showing that all vocations are paths to holiness.
On Thursday, November 6th students are asked to
dress up as their favorite Saint.

Veterans Day 2025 - Wall of Honor
Turn in pictures for Wall of Honor by Monday, November 10
Veterans Day 2025!!
The students of St. Anne will be celebrating Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 13th, at the school Mass at 8:30 am. We would like to honor those who have served our country and helped provide for our freedom with a Veterans Day Celebration.
To honor veterans and allow the students to see those who served and gave so much to our country, we will have a Veterans Wall of Honor display in the hall by the library. Please send photos of those family members who have served in the armed forces. Give them to your child’s homeroom teacher or Mrs. Ross in the library and they will be displayed on the wall. Make sure your name is taped/written on the back, along with the name of the veteran you are honoring, and how they are related to the student (i.e. grandfather, father, mother, aunt, etc.). We will return all photos the next week.
Please invite any family member or friend who has served in the armed forces to attend our annual Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 12th. Again, the celebration begins with Mass in the church at 8:30 a.m., followed by a reception in the library.

Your prayers are essential to support those who nurture our children in all of the programs and activities provided by our school. The traveling crucifix is a school –wide effort to pray for vocations and our students, families, teachers, staff members, and volunteers, as they engage their daily work in education.
The crucifix will be presented to your family at the conclusion of Mass. We ask that you return it to the school office the following Tuesday.
For questions, please email or call the school office at 281-351-0093.
