Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families:
Greetings! Time flies when you’re having fun and it is hard to believe we are well into the 2nd quarter of the school year. October has been an amazing month and we have so much to be grateful for. Our fall Bazaar was a huge success! Thank you to our parent Bazaar chairs, Mr. and Mrs. Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn, and Mr. and Mrs. Devore for a wonderful community event filled with food, fellowship, and fun. It was great to see so many of you there. A huge thank you to all who participated in raffle ticket sales, donations, and volunteerism, all of which contributed to the success of this event.
Thank you to Mrs. Bonini for planning a fantastic Red Ribbon Week focused on Be Kind to Your Mind and Others. Congratulations to the winners of the Red Ribbon Week poster contest; 1st place Chandler Hardey, 2nd place Thomas Hernandez, and 3rd place Tyler Boeller.
STREAM day was a success! Our students were immersed in science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math activities throughout the day. Thank you to Mathnasium, The Wolf Sanctuary, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Botanic Garden, Pets with a Mission and Friends of Texas Wildlife for providing amazing experiences for our students during our Fall STREAM Day. Thank you to our STREAM Day chairs, Mrs. Kallus and Mrs. Hardey, PTO, our teachers and all the parent volunteers for making it such a successful and memorable day.
Congratulations to the varsity soccer team for making it to the playoffs. We will host the playoff game on Tuesday, October 31st at 4:30 pm. Come out to cheer on the Crusaders. We are looking forward to our Book Character Parade on Tuesday as well.
Congratulations to our students who made the Honor Roll this quarter. We commend them for their hard work and are very proud of them.
As we move into November, we have many events scheduled. Be sure to check out the entire Crusader Connection for information. We are looking forward to our 3rdgrade Saints presentations after Mass on Wednesday, November 1. Parents are invited to attend. We ask that students sit with their classes since it is going to be a very full mass. Vocations week begins on November 6th. Our Veterans’ Day celebration is on November 8th. Discover Catholic Schools Week starts on November 13, and we will have open house for prospective families on Wednesday, November 15. We have our Book Fair the week of November 13th and Grandparents Day on November 17th.
Have a blessed weekend!
With gratitude,

St. Anne School celebrates Veterans Day 2023!!
The students of St. Anne will be celebrating all veterans on Wednesday, November 8th, at the school Mass at 8:30 am. We would like to honor those who have served our country and helped provide for our freedom with a Veteran’s Day Celebration.
To honor veterans and allow the students to see those who served and gave so much to our country, we will have a Veteran’s Wall of Honor display in the hall by the library. We ask that you bring your photos of those family members who have served in the armed forces. Give them to your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Ross in the library and they will be displayed on the wall. Make sure your name is taped onto the back, along with the name of the person you are honoring, and how they are related to the student (i.e. grandfather, father, mother, aunt, etc.).
Please invite any family member or friend who has served in the armed forces to attend our annual Veteran’s Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. The celebration begins with Mass in the church at 8:30 a.m., followed by a reception.

Congratulations to our students who made the Honor Roll this quarter. We commend them for their hard work and are very proud of them. | |
Now is a good time to check uniforms for name tags. Check labels inside your students clothing, if its labeled with someone else's name - please to return to the school. Thanks for your help.

SLOW DOWN
Please slow down when you enter the campus parking lot! We have had a couple of close calls in the parking lot due to cars going to fast.
| |
Due to construction in the area, we are receiving an extraordinary amount of tardies. Please leave with enough time for construction delays.

Dear St. Anne Parents,
We are 109 days from the Steps for Students Race Day on Feb. 10, 2024!
Steps for Students is an annual event benefiting the 55 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Over the last 18 years, this exciting day of family fun has brought together our Catholic community for a Sunrise Mass, sanctioned 5K race and a post-race party in the Catholic School Village. In 2023, over 5,000 joined us on Race Day and over $900,000 was raised to fund the unique needs of each of our Catholic schools.
Registration is open!
You know what they say about the early bird...he gets the worm! If you register by October 31, you will save up to 15% on your registration fees.
Early Bird registration ends on October 31.
Our goals for this year are 100% registration participation and $28,000 in funds raised. Don't worry - hitting the "snooze" for students option counts toward our registration goal!
Participation incentives include:
- Spirit Dress for a week for those students who raise $100
- Classes with 100% registration participation will earn an ice cream party
- The individual who raises the most will win a $100 Main Event Gift Card
- The class that raises the most will earn a special treat party
Stay tuned for emails with our progress toward these goals.
Thank you for your continued support.
Blessings,
Sherri Minch
Development Director
