MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

With the golden colors arriving, we must take a pause to identify those things that shine in our lives. Our Educational Aides, Cafeteria Staff, and Support Personnel are an integral part of the daily successes of each student on our campus. Please, when you see a golden badge, thank them for their CARE of our children!

Today, a paper Income Eligibility form is coming home with your student. The amount of funding our school receives is dependent on the return of this completed form. This data is kept private and used only for the mandatory reporting data at a school building level for the federal and e-rate programs. We appreciate receiving these completed forms back by this Friday, September 19th, to meet the Archdiocese deadline.

PRESCHOOL PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISER

Immaculate Heart of Mary Preschool has been an important part of the IHM community for the last 14 years. We have grown over the years and welcome many new families each year. Spreading the Gospel to our Littlest Crusaders and providing them with a Christ-centered start to learning is the mission of our loving staff. In addition to supporting the students’ spiritual and academic needs, we support their motor development, creativity, and communication skills. Our preschool playground is one of the best places to make this happen! We are seeking donations for much needed playground improvements. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

CHESS CLUB IS BACK!

We will be starting on Wednesday, September 17th.

The format of Chess Club will stay the same as last year. We will have two groups (both on Wednesdays) - Group 1 for play & basics, and Group 2 for strategy & tournament prep.

Please read the information at the top of this form fully before deciding which group to sign up for!

This form will close Sunday, September 14th at noon. If you have any questions regarding Chess Club or the form, please contact Caroline Walsh - walsh.caroline@ihomschool.org

SUMMER PRAYER CHALLENGE FROM FR. AARON

At the final school Mass last year, Fr. Aaron challenged all IHM students to try and pray every day over the summer, and if they did, he would have a reward for them. This is so important for all of us, as our relationship with God doesn’t just happen when we are at school or in church. We should always be trying to grow and deepen our friendship with Jesus Christ in our daily lives.

If your child/children participated in this challenge, please respond this survey by Sept. 18th and Fr. Aaron will bring the reward to their homerooms.

THURSDAY PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES

FISH FRY LEAD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Help us keep the tradition alive! The IHM Boosters are seeking a dedicated individual (or a dynamic team of 2) to take charge of the IHM Fish Fry next year. This important role involves ordering supplies, setting up each week, and overseeing the cooking team. This is the first time in 30 years we’ve had this opening, and it’s a critical opportunity to support our IHM community. Many may not know that the Fish Fry is the Boosters' top fundraiser, directly supporting uniforms, equipment, facility maintenance, and more. Without it, we risk having to increase yearly dues and sports participation fees.

WE ARE HIRING IHM FACULTY!

We are looking to hire for our team in the following roles:

  • Certified Educational Assistant(s), Part time email Principal
  • Counselor, Full time email Principal
  • Substitute Teachers, email Principal

If you know someone who can bring their skills to support our students on campus this year, please encourage them to apply!
