Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families, 

As we kick-off Catholic Schools Week, there is so much to be thankful for. Our basketball teams are having a stellar season, with many wins. Go Crusaders! Congratulations to all the winners whose artwork was entered into the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Contest. We received many first and second place ribbons. For the first time ever, we received 2 finalist ribbons!! Congratulations to Alena Armenta in 1st grade and Evelyn Johnson in 3^rd grade for being named an Award of Excellence finalist. Thank you to our Dad’s Club for hosting our annual Chili-Cookoff.

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens today, January 26^th, for current students and siblings, and on Friday, February 2^nd for future families. Once again, we will utilize Continuous Enrollment, which re-enrolls all current students automatically. Our 2024-2025 Tuition and Fee Schedule will be posted to our website and was sent out to all families via email today. As our enrollment continues to increase, we want to be sure our current families are registered and have secured enrollment for current students and siblings before we open it to our prospective students. Families will update their re-enrollment packets in the Family Portal and registration fees for the 2024-2025 will be billed through FACTS. 

We're all looking forward to a wonderful National Catholic Schools Week, see below for details. We hope to see everyone at the 5:00 pm mass tomorrow. 

Don’t forget to sign up for STEPS for Students. We are getting closer to our goal of 100% participation. See below for more information.

During Lent only cheese pizza will be served on Fridays.

This year, we are donating funds collected from our annual Nickel Wars Fun to the documentary, "Love God's Will" . A film about Fr. Ryan Stawaisz. His family continue as long time parishioners of St. Anne, no doubt you will recognize his parents Ray and Susan around our campus. Fr. Ryan was a beloved priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston. He was always recognized by his cheerful attitude and radiant smile, even in times of great suffering. We were deeply moved by Fr. Ryan's example of surrender to God's will.

Pastries with Pals is around the corner. The event will be in the gym on January 30th from 7:00 - 7:40AM  

Like any event we cannot do it without the gracious support of the parents. We are looking for volunteers to help with the two shifts along with donations of the pastries.  Thank you for your support and consideration.

Friday's theme for Catholic Schools Week is Celebrating Teachers. We are asking you to show your thanks and support for our teachers! Please craft and create a card of appreciation for your children's teacher thanking them for their dedication and sacrifice to their role as teacher! Send the card to school with your child on Friday to deliver to your teacher!

Steps update

Steps for Students:

Thank you to all who have registered and donated! We are currently at 61% registered and we have raised $5,450. We are making great progress!

The deadline to register and have your packet sent to school is Sunday, January 28. After that, individuals will have to pick up their packet downtown prior to the race. Registration prices increase February 1^st

Incentives reminders:

• All who are registered can wear their Steps for Students shirt on Friday, February 9.
• Every class that achieves 100% registration gets a Blue Bell Ice Cream Party!
• Every student who raises $100 gets spirit dress for a week
• The class that raises the most gets a special treat party
• The individual that raises the most gets a Main Event Gift Card
• The winner of the registration competition between elementary and middle school gets a donut party

Required – CMG Safe Haven Training and Background Check

We are so excited about the upcoming 2023-2024 school year, and we are thankful for everyone who volunteers their time and talents to St. Anne Catholic School. The students, teachers and parents really appreciate all the hard work that is put into making all our events a success.

All volunteers and staff must be CMG Safe Haven trained to work with children within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Please plan time to take the online, self-paced, Safe Environment Course (CMG Connect). This course certification is entirely free, online, easy to complete, and valid for five years.

Click on the link below to register. You will not need to print the certificate since all your training completion dates are retained in the system. If you have any questions or need some assistance, please  email Elizabeth Dailey in the school office.
